Is Wolf Armor good for Mistlands?
My map is absolutely terrible I can't find any crypts to mine some iron to craft a Padded Armor I currently have a Wolf Armor t4, is it any good for soloing Mistlands?
Also, how are Frostner + Sivler Shield t3 and Crystal battleaxe for Mistlands? Should I craft a Blackmetal sword?

Thank you guys for the answers and for the motivation. I continued searching and found a good swamp so now my longship's storage is full of iron
Mining iron that way was my last hope. Staying half underwater in the dark just to mine few pieces isn't really fun :( Also, to the guy saying he couldn't fine any crypts to mine iron, remember that iron spawns outside of crypts in the swamps, under the ground. Look up some youtube videos on how to find them.
It's always good to know how things work under the hood, thanks. If you have around 72 armor or higher then you're negating enough damage, the way armor works is funky and the dimenishing return starts at 50 and really falls off around 70-80, and gives you less additionally after that. Though it is still worth having higher armor as many instances it can mean the difference between surviving with 5 hp left or being dead.
Wolf armor can go to 80 so you'd do just fine with it, just don't try to tank a seeker soldiers attacks and you should be fine. Fenris armor on the other hand is too low unless you're really confident in yourself in never getting hit and landing parries 100 percent of the time.

Wolf armor is doable, just take extra care and dont be shy about using Bonemass when needed. Also carry fire resistance potions in addition to your usual potions. Iron is available in Mistlands so you can get your padded armor iron needs fulfilled while youre there too, plus smelt iron locally for a stonecutter for... reasons... :)

No, you will just be back on here complaining about how bad the game is. To progress the game you need to progress your gear. My map is absolutely terrible I can't find any crypts to mine some iron to craft a Padded Armor I currently have a Wolf Armor t4, is it any good for soloing Mistlands?

Wolf armor is okay in Mistlands, as long as you are carrying up to date weapons and are able to parry incoming attacks and use high end food. I have a mixture between different armor sets and my damage resistance is likely to the wolf armors stats, but I get a little speed buff. I get along in the Mistlands, although I do not use high HP food, but concentrate on stamina instead. I know the enemies and their attacks and how to fight them properly. That given, I can affirm that damage resistance of that armor is okay.
You will have to compensate with timing.

i am currently channeling the spirit of forum contributor Rhapsody ....
*Yes, the Wolf armor is suitable as Valheim is the type of game that accommodates everything you'll ever need in the virtual world and in real life, but to progress farther into the game, padded and black metal gear would help to accomplish your goals. This isn't a recommendation that you'd actually need anything more to enjoy Valheim, it's merely a suggestion to enhance your experience in an already perfect gaming environment that Valheim provides. Particularly in Mistlands which is my favorite biome.*

Don't try it yet mate, its brutal, even in padded and fully upgraded black metal everything. Prepare first, frostner works okay for 1v1, but most of the time you're outnumbered, so the easiest is the black metal atgeir special attack with good stam food. Take your time, most of my gaming is doing the corpse run thing with flatlined stats. Good luck.

I kinda wish they make these armors at this point give different buffs, like a reason to keep the older armors.
Example, if wolf armor gave a stamina buff it might make sense to forgo the armor reduction, etc.

I'm dipping my toes in mistlands now in fully upgraded padded armor, black metal sheild, black metal sword, silver sword, and frostner (maybe I overprepared :-).
My goto is going to be BM sword until it proves otherwise. Stat wise, I think the frostner might be better, but I find it two slow, especially for the secondary attack, and, for some reason, I can't figure out how to aim the secondary attack. A sword pretty much goes where you point it, and the frostner seems to have a mind of it's own, and, once you commit to swinging it, it seems like the target moves out of the way before it hits.
My gut tells me that you don't lose much with wolf armor, though. The stats really aren't much different precentage wise, and I regularly do plains in iron, so I think your weapon and food choices will make more difference.

I use Fenris armor in Mistlands, which is light armor. I tried the new carapice armor which is very tanky, but moving slowly in mistlands is painful with all the verticality and need to constantly jump. If you can consistently parry attacks, then I think what armor you take is less of an issue. The porcupine mace with a buckler shield and fire resist pots for a certain enemy is what I used to get started in mistlands.

frostner is good enough for standard enemy. The new sword is a lot like it, except slash where it was blunt, and higher dps.
Wolf armor is probably not ok. Some swamps are weak, but somewhere on your map are tons of crypts. My first map the first 3 swamps were empty and I was frustrated as well, but when I found one with crypts, it was literally every few yards, 20 or so in a grid pattern nearly. Stuff happens.
I recommend you stay out of ML but if you have beaten yag, and still no iron, ML has iron. You could try sneaking around in there to grab a couple stacks. Keep a portal near and always be ready to exit.
When its all said and done iron is still king. You need it in every biome from swamp onward. I can't recoomend enough, no matter how annoying: go find about 10 stacks.
