rant thread was a bad idea because they're doing nothing to reduce the number of rants. you cant put all of the upset buyers in a ghetto and expect them to just calm down in there after a while.

I'm obviously not a Moderator, but I would assume it was deleted because it became nothing but a trolling war. Anyone on any side that had any opinion was immediately attacked for said opinion, and it spiraled into petty bickering and insults. It ultimately became a "trash" thread where the Moderators would toss any thread about content updates, further promoting the chaos in there.

Then again, they let it survive for so long as such, so it's quite likely that I'm way off-base here.

Yeah, I figured that it was a "trash" thread for criticism ever since the mods locked the update comments. The drama, as petty as it would get, was pretty entertaining to me, and you'd get genuine criticism at times too. But hey, thanks for offering your thoughts on this.

that thread is a horrible idea to start with, because a lot of non rant posts were moved there simply because the mods dont agree with them and characterized them as "rants"
