those that have no password may be troll servers, you die instant when you join them.
Try Discord, Valheims offical server. there is big Valheim servers. you just need to apply.
or play with friends.... :)

The game is geared toward co-op with friends, and not so much just random join.

The game is PVE by default, meaning players cannot simply walk up and start killing other players. There is a button in each person's inventory screen that has to activated by all parties who wish to participate in pvp.

While pvp is easily avoided, griefing is NOT easily avoided... There are not enough suitable controls to prevent randoms from destroying, stealing, summoning mobs and items etc., therefore MOST servers are going to be locked with passwords to prevent randoms from joining their world.

As mentioned you can try Discord or ---> to the right of this forum is a sub-forum called "Looking for Group" which contains thousands of threads of other people looking to join up to play.... Good Luck

Looking for some Valheim ganking aye ;), thing is for some reason most serves don't allow gay animals on them anyway which is totally wrong and totally un-PC I know. Sigh.
