The game is in EA status. Stuff like that is bound to happen. Which is exactly why the devs put in commands so you can spawn your stuff back instead of throwing fit and rage quitting.

I can sympathise. I lost my world when everything just vanished and all I could see was green. Not even any creatures. A known bug that I think is fixed now. It's really annoying but I created another world and started again. Learnt to make backups after that too just in case.

Im not sure if some people would call this cheating, but if loosing gear and tools is a game stopper i can highly recommend putting everything in a chest, and make a backup of the world, once in a while.
I made a new world, with a little house close to spawn, put all my important gear and stuff, saved the world files on my desktop, in case some dumb shenanigans happen to my play file or character :)

Actually these forums should have venting forum, where all kind of trash talk, flaming, and enraged rage quit discussions could be posted.

Use the console to get everything back.. but once you start using the console, it can be hard to stop, and then the game gets really boring. Not a great solution, but yeah, losing your corpse can be gamebreaking.

i am guessing that you died and the game failed to place a map marker on your grave. This has happened to me once or twice. You lost two sets of iron tools and armor so I assume you made a corpse run to the death location, could not find your corpse and got killed again with no map marker for your second corpse. This has not happened to me.

On those occasions where I died and no map marker was generated for my death location, I did still have a corpse. I was able to recover my gear. I cannot tell from your post if the game did leave your actual corpse. If it did not, you have a real problem.

In any case, I suggest verifying your game files. You may also have to reinstall. You have my sympathy. I can understand the urge to quit. I had the same urge but did not do it and have not regretted staying with the game.

On the bright side, I would not count the loss of iron armor as that much of a tragedy. I am able to get through the Swamp and beat Bonemass with fully upgraded troll armor. I then concentrated on acquiring wolf armor. I did, however, craft and upgrade an iron mace to beat Bonemass and craft an iron pickax to mine silver.

I'll try some of these and actually maybe you're right. I first started playing at april then, stoped and began to play it again some days ago and I think that the files got corrupted.
