Your are asking if you should stop looking at this game or keep looking at it? My answer to your question is stop looking, if you didn't like it a year ago I think you still won't like it.

You can't blame other customers not knowing when Valheim goes on sale. They can only assume because both the developers and the publisher are not allowed to disclose sales prior to them happening (because of an NDA with Valve). For the future, I recommend using SteamDB and checking the game's price history. This will give you an idea on when the respective game might be on sale again.

Additionally, I recommend reading reviews and watching some Youtube videos. Plus, you again have the option to buy and test the game. You can refund it if you haven't played longer than two hours and submitted the refund request < 14 days after purchase.

As you can see, it was posted on February last year, so almost two years ago. The answers people were giving to this unfair question requiring precognition skills from the audience were more or less correct. "Not anytime soon" was pretty much the correct answer.

I think it’s well worth it at its current price and doubly so at 10 bucks. Just think what you consume in a day that you only put in a toilet at the end of a day. Ten bucks is literally one coffee at some places and a happy meal at others.

The game mechanics are exactly the same so nothing changed there. The only changes that have been made are additional building pieces and really and they added ice caves which are pretty fun. The game really shines when you get another person to play with unless you enjoy building solo which I do but still love having people around to go on adventures with.

Just... go away. Seriously. THE HORSE IS DEAD. STOP BEATING IT.

1, It's an early access game that's been more complete than the majority of EA games.
2. It's priced fairly among all the other EA games.
3. Development is notoriously slow but we're used to that. IT WILL BE DONE WHEN IT'S DONE.
4. There's been a few sales in the time that it's been released. What? Are you butthurt about missing those or something?

What do you want people to tell you that you can't already find out in the numerous update notes over the past 18 months? You already refunded the game ages ago because it wasn't for you either because of wilful ignorance or just lack of skill. You CLEARLY have no interest in it other than to attempt to poke the bear in the discussion forums. Go away.

did you not read my post. i had braindead fans raging at me for 2 months straight about how the game is too good for a sale and will only increase in price, how did i beat the horse when the fan base destroyed it

then again, i never said the game was bad, i said the unfinished garbage from 1-2 years ago was, might be amazing now but back then it was utter trash

The first hour has not changed much. So the game is still "garbage" for you.
Please buy another game - no game community wants whiners who buy a game they don't like because of some hype and then tell the others all the time how bad the game is...

because i bought it when it was horrible, look at no mans sky, the game was garbage back then but its amazing now

So, you held a grudge for over a year because some players were enthusiastic about a game that you subjectively don't like. And during that year you saw that you could have saved a whole $9 on a game that you returned anyhow. Then came back a year later to tell them again that you didn't like the same game that they did? Life is too short my man, this just isn't healthy.

This game has never been horrible. I dunno how you played it or who you played with. I assume you went into multiplayer(which yes is trash unless you have friends)

held a grudge? lol, i found this game floating around again and it came back to me that this was the game i talked about a year ago, mostly because i rarely post discussions

so you are asking a discussion group for a game "whats going on about devs?" maybe contact devs direct?... then "should I just drop this game or should I keep an eye on it?" Thats highly subjective... what makes you interested in it..since it "was" garbage" I think you know the answers to these questions.. far better than the game playerbase.. .. But thanks for asking.... If you like simple play as you like games.. and more-so if you like Norse or Viking themes.. this game may hold you interest.. but bang for buck imho its awesome and its very lean on your HDU space unlike most other open world games..but thats my opinion.. GL but i think you have already got your $20 or $10 worth from it esp since u refunded it :-) ..i certainly have :-)
