I really dont know that to think about this...
I like the game and got excited for the mistlands...so i made a backup and switched to the mistlands test version and started playing.
The first thing i noticed was, that the game keeps crashing my gpu driver and freezing the game, forcing me to shut it down completely via taskmanager...but now comes the funny stuff.
After the first crash i started playing again thinking it was just a random crash.
I sailed with my long ship for almost 2 hours and found 4 leviathans pretty close to each other.
I farmed the chitin and had an automatic world safe while farming them.
The game crashed again though when i wanted to keep sailing with my chitin.
I started the game again and spawned in my base on my bed..the ship though is, due to the world safe, in the middle of the ocean with all the chitin in the storage...it took me 2 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hours to sail there with a long ship and moder power.
This made me lose interest in the game tbh, as i dont want to build a new ship and sail there again for hours only for the game to crash again on me.
Who came up with the idea to safe the world (including player made ships, structures etc.) but set the player back to the spawn point on a world safe?

I'm confused, isnt the mistlands in a public test mode and not a proper release build? Go back to your backup and wait for mistalnds to be fully tested. Even then, this is a early access game, there will be bugs, glitches, crashes and other issues. Do not play and early access game if you do not want to experience issues.

Correct! Mistlands is only available on the public test mode atm. Playing on it one should expect bugs, crashes and such imo. just fly back to your ship; i would think this would be allowed even by diehards
in case of a crash
console commands can be very handy but you need <some> rules
The game seldom crashes on me; maybe you're pushing the GPU to hard?
Lower some settings and see if that helps

The game crashed sometimes before the mistlands patch for me (very rarely though)
Now with the new test version i had 3 crashes in 2 hours with the same settings.
But yeah i changed some settings and will test if it still crashes...iam playing on an older pc with relatively old gpu (R9 290x)

isn't Mistlands only Public Test branch? I'd be expecting a few crashes here and there from players as it's their "lets see how this thing does" version, not the stable release.

Public Test Branch. There will be issues and they know it that is why it is not released yet. There will be several patches in Public Test before it actually goes live. It was your choice to test the game.

I ran the test version for an hour , I ran around and built stuff and the game ran perfectly,it was noticeably better than the stock game.Higher FPS and no stutter, it looks like they did some optimisation to me. It must be your comp set up. I am on 3600x and 3070 with 16 gig memory
