Raids are based off what bosses you have killed. So in a new world you will get the easy raids.

Yup - event triggers for raids are based -per world-, not per char.

If you take a char that has maxed out endgame, killed every boss, but restart new world, then the raids will be set to lowest level.

e.g. before 1st boss killed, all you get is the forest critters - basically free meat charge, then after 1st boss you get grey dwarves, etc

they literally added like nothing, just keep playing ur current world

I found it fun to deconstruct whatever I had in my old worlds, and port them over to the current world. It's not like I had to open up a debug menu for it. Reduce reuse recycle!

In Valheim you don't go out at night, Valheim will come for you.

Just start a new world with the same character.

new seed, same character. bronze gear not that far off. like 20-30 hours of in game time

Me too, but I had only troll armour and stone weapons to leave behind.

Since the devs implied that we needed a do-over when the game is out of early access, I let it ride and kept my stuff for now. But its up to you, there is no 'should'. Keep it or restart both valid options.

you dont HAVE to do a new world, the new resources will only appear in undiscovered lands though.
It is recommended to do a new char/world because of the new stamina/health, food and blocking/fighting balancing so you can get used to those mechanics from the ground up.

I dare to say that its always best to start a new game after a big update all though save game might be compatible. I dont know specificly for valheim but for many other games it is a good idea to avoid issues. Ofcourse some games are worse/better than others when big updates come and how it effect peoples savegames or break them.

Typical your new playthough will be faster since you know what to do and how to unlock things.

Since you don't have a lot of committed time in your world, best to start a new one. If you chose to transfer your character or start a new one is up to how much you wanna add to the new world/ seed experience.

you might consider a semi fresh start

make a new world and bring your old chars (with armor/weapons/tools or what you might like to bring into that new world
maybe bring the materials for a forge for item repairs

for me - ive started completly fresh (i dont mind experiencing the whole thing again)
