If you're using the steam client to update and/or download the dedicated server, please do not. Use steamcmd instead as it allows for more control and configuration of the update process (among other things).

I have been running the server with the current settings for 3 months now. I have 5 or 6 players who have logged upwards of 2000 collective hours on this server. 5 days ago it stopped working. Neither app has an update available and doesn't appear to have been updated automatically. My log even says server connected and then when we try to join it says failed. Its frustrating because not everyone has the same work schedule so some of my guys are just left out now

Version mismatch?

im seeing a similar issue... except I dont think the server STOPPED responding... it appears from the logs that the STEAM CLIENT is not connecting.

im still drilling into the issue... restarting steam and/or server does not solve the issue either.
