Hens and Roosters can sound pretty similar.
Hens will also take the rooster place and exhibiting rooster behavior if no roosters are present.

My issue is not with having chickens (in-game don't forget lol, not real life!) or with their noise - it's with the fact they're crowing - which chickens don't do because they're not roosters.

Hens do crow though lol. They're loud little ladies, especially when they're hungry or want to stretch their legs.

Roosters crow, chickens don't. Yes they're loud when they lay but it's not crowing.

I can see it's a bunch of men mansplaining to me about chickens roll eyes :D

Anyway, prob solved in-game - don't feed them, that way they don't.... crow, like a rooster.

They really really do crow, i promiseeeee. Ultraviolent knows best lol. I am just saying, having chickens be angry IRL and then going to their coop to hear them as you get closer you feel the goatness coming out of them. Screaming and yelling i'm srs.

I've had quite a few chickens and roosters and they never really were too loud, just luck i guess.

They actually sound like real chickens now.... being the owner of a chicken or 800+ irl they actually sound peaceful compared to the real thing laying an egg... i promise.... i'm glad they introduced not the real thing.

Also, Who puts a freaking chicken coup right out side their house???? Peeps keep them far away thats why in like every story you don't know all your chickens got merked by a wolf IRL until you wake up an at 7:00 am instead of 6. That rooster ded.

Edited: when i said peeps i didn't mean the candy or people in game, i meant People in real life. Chickens also smell so bad IRL so we wouldn't want them close to the house.

It's a game mechanic thing for simplicity i guess..

For example, needing two hens for them to be able to lay eggs is also kinda weird.
A real life hen lays eggs wether or not a rooster is around. Just unfertilized.
