#FreeOurRugs Spread the word brethren.

We must unite and free the rugs.
This patch is detrimental to our rugs. Rugs have kept us warm for almost 2 years in valheim.
Rug Lives Matter.
! like/share = 1 rug freed.

If you want difficulty - why do you play with rested bonus at all?

You now lose 40 seconds within 27 mins of gameplay. - Or can you teleport instant to your castle and get the rested bonus instant there? You see, no big deal.

I use campfires everywhere when i am exploring... because... I dont want to interrupt exploring and fighting things by traveling/teleporting home all the time.

Doing that every 8 minutes, again, adds tedium and not difficulty. I do not want to sit in place waiting for the resting bonus to pop every 8 minutes. I want to explore and fight things without feeling like a fat guy sucking wind just from walking.

If you can't handle sitting for 30 seconds, you really chose the wrong game. Having to run back or build a new structure for rested would be tedious. Placing a campfire for a quick buff is not.

Dropping a portal and going back to base for the full 25 minute rested bonus is actually less tedious than dropping a campfire every 8 minutes for the same amount of work.

Also, the amount of time I have to sit is irrelevant. Forcing the player to sit around for any length of time doing nothing is bad game design. Making this change without adding more sources of comfort only serves to waste the players time.

Both of you and Mr. X are the exact opposite of helpful. Consider silence as an alternative to the useless white noise you're posting.

Maybe players should meditate on what a proper use of their time actually is, instead of playing video games and bearing a cross on the forums. The player has to stop and rest to gain a rested bonus? Nah bad game design.

A word on the carpet nerf from a Developer.

A brief note on the carpets:
It was never intended that each individual carpet would increase the comfort score, so altering this is merely fixing something that was overlooked previously.
As it stands, the earlier max comfort would give you a rested bonus of 30 minutes, which is a full in-game day and night. Now it gives you 25 minutes, which is still a full day and part of the night. If you visit your base to sleep nightly, you will not actually notice the decrease of the timer.
Rest assured, there will be further items added later in the game that will increase your comfort again, this is merely making room for that! :)

Maybe the devs need to open a charity to send diapers to their playerbase.

Yeah i couldn't agree more!

The NPC meme is real, the replies diligently defending every decision the devs make is truly some of the most pathetic brain dead drivel I have ever had the pleasure of reading.

It really tied the room together.

Honestly I don't care about the rugs. If I'm not doing anything intense, then the rested bonus doesn't matter. If I am doing something intense then there's the RL rested bonus to consider, and I always start those kinds of expeditions fresh rather than at the end of a long play session.

A rested bonus that gives out before twenty minutes is up reminds me to get my butt out of the swamp when I can't see the sun. I imagine that having such an in game timer might be helpful in Mistlands as well when you can't always tell the time of day.

But obviously other people do care. -shrugs-

You... could construct more than one base. An outpost or two, or however many.

I hope the devs adhere to their vision. Players have ways to solve their problem within the game or you can mod the game how you want. It's literally win/win and I don't see where the problem is.

Ah, so you're an NPC if you find ways to solve problems instead of... mindlessly crying with a group of people reciting the exact same opinion. Do you see how dumb it is to call people NPCs for having a different opinion from you? Pot meet kettle is all I'm saying.

If they actually nerfed the comfort level, I would be upset but less comfort just equals less time, not less comfort quality. It's easy enough to drop a fire on the ground and get take the 60 seconds to get a top-up.

Would be good to see these work the same way as the chairs - higher level mats equals higher numbers for comfort.

Now you can choose what kind of rug you want, and gain the best benefit.

it's called balancing, and rugs were not balanced like other comfort items.
