Issue with boars
Hello Valheim community, I come to you with a problem. I tamed a 2-star boar and am in the process of taming a 1-star boar. The tamed 2-star boar still runs around like it is frightened. I tamed it with raspberries. It seems to be trying to pathfind towards where I lured it from. Is there a fix for this incessant running? It's kind of really annoying to deal with once I decide to make a dedicated breeder. The 1-star boar I have captured is doing the same thing, and please note it is not frightened either. I'm currently sneaking outside its pen watching it eat berries and still run around frantically despite not having an '!' above its head.

The biggest issue with Boars is that they are useless after 10 minutes of gameplay. Or you know, 10 game days give or take.

Having this same issue with a pair of 1 star boars I tamed from the wild. Both are trying to run in the direction they spawned in at (which are in opposite directions from each other), and are not breeding even though they are both happy.
I'm trying to force them together, but pushing them away from the fence so I can place new fence is a real pain. As soon as we get some piglets, these two are bacon.

Yeah, this seems to be pretty common right now, just create some piglets then kill the parents and all will be fine.

A game day is 20 minutes irl and boars are key food components in the early to mid game. If you're past that in 10 minutes or even 10 game days then I don't know why you're playing this game. Or maybe you're role-playing as a troll

No nearby fire. Closest one is at my base at least 50 meters away.

I had the same issue with a 2 star boar i tamed recently. Was showing fully tamed but still acting as if it were wild. I eventually got it to breed by boxing it in super close with another boar, it wouldn't breed like a normal tamed boar. After i got my first 2 star piglet, i killed the bugged boar. The 2 star piggy is behaving normally.

Either that or let it run back to wherever it wants to go.

I'm hoping to use boar meat, honey, and boar jerky as my 3 foods and swap them out for better food if i need it. With those 3 I don't have to worry about eating too much or too often, since they're renewable with little to no effort once I get the necessary infrastructure.

Do you have a fire near by? Chances are you have a Camp fire too close to them.
