A possible Flamemetal version of Frostner
Just wondering because it would be a cool weapon to have.

Swords are soooo much better than blunt weapons, and I am a big fan of blunt weapons. Swords swing way faster and you get more swings per stamina usage. With Frostner I was running out of stamina fairly quickly, especially fighting fuling villages. With a sword I basically don't even have to worry about my stamina.Id rathee not, but good on you for shifting. I have high hopes for future blunt weapons. I don't bother with maxing out any skill, but you really ought to move with the times and start developing your sword skill if that's important for you ;)
I shifted from blunt damage and my trusty Frostner before I killed Moder and the silver sword or dark metal sword is my favourite weapon of choice for melee for now, at least until Mistlands arrives.

You're using blunt weapons wrong. They are for zoning, which I like. Not really a dps guy but zoning helps me keep away multiple enemies enough to regain stamina. Swords, though dish out more damage is just asking for you to lose your items easily, but hey. To each their own I guess...Swords are soooo much better than blunt weapons, and I am a big fan of blunt weapons. Swords swing way faster and you get more swings per stamina usage. I understand blunt weapons are good for crowd control but my point is you don't need to control the crowd if you can just kill them before they swing at you.

How is it rude though? Oh well, sorry if I have offended you but I have a different playstyle, and it has kept me safe throughout the entire game. It made me even clear off fuling villages with ease. Frostner first hit with the slow debuff afterwards switch to porcupine. It's that simple. I tried going all out up close and personal with a mob with 1 onestar goblin in it using black metal sword and i got overwhelmed with ease. Never had that problem with the Frostner and Porcupine, even events where I havent acquired the porcupine yet. Anyways, like I said maybe I am doing something wrong or maybe you are, either way we both have different playstyle and ill respect whatever you choose, but personally, I prefer the maces over the swords.Don't tell me I am using them wrong, that is rude for no reason. Tbh it doesnt matter really. Whatever you feel comfortable with. To each their own, and I prefer maces because of crowd control and how easily you can recover stamina. the Sword or mace debate never gets old tried them both and found what i like.

It's in there, just not buildable yet without console commands.
Look up "Valheim Dyrnwyn" in your search engine of choice. :)

The only weapon craftable from Flaming Metal ingots that can be found in the game by using console commands is Dyrnwyn the flaming sword. Not a sword, a mace. With a molten effect. Not burning effect
I'm only guessing, but this will likely be implemented when Mistlands is released since smelting flaming metal ingots from flaming metal ore is already possible. As such you can expect it at the end of the year or more likely by Q2 of next year.
We shall just have to wait and see what other weapons and gear may be craftable at that time.
I'm looking forward to it and I suspect that the mobs which will inhabit/infest the Mistlands (spiders please) will be vulnerable to fire damage ;)
