Fulings showing up in non Plains areas ?

I am starting to get Fulings showing up at My base in the Meadows and in the Snow Biomes " no Base ", where there are no Plains on those Islands, also it is not a special event.

Is this normal, I am later in the game, only have the Mistlands Boss to kill.

Last night my wife and I had 3 Fulings spawn inside our base. I have no idea how they managed it.

The base is surrounded by a moat and then a stone wall. The entire base including the walls and the moat are all covered by workbenches. We haven't had anything spawn inside this base since I first surrounded it with a wooden fence way back around the time of killing the Elder and we are now trying to find the Queen in the Mistlands. I even walked the base after the attack checking for any gaps in workbench protection only to find none.

It was interesting and somewhat perplexing but was at night. Neither of us died and the Fulings donated to our gold and black metal stocks.

You shouls put spawnblockers like workbenches, hearths, campfires, Stonecutters, artistan tables and the others to prevent mob spawns.

Yes it's normal after killing a boss (I think it's the plains boss Yagluth) the fulings patrol can spawn everywhere

They (only / mainly?) spawn at night. Set up some ballistae to target them and you'll get a trickle of black metal and gold when you're home.

Each time a Forsaken is felled, it will enable some type of event or spawns in one or more biomes. The sole half-exception to that is Moder, whose death enables fuling invasions, but felling Yagluth will eventually disable that event permanently.

Killing moder also disables dragon raids

Green Police can invade you even in mountains sometimes. It's scary how much they hate you.

I defeated Yagluth a long time ago but I still get fulings. It seems to me that it was not until the defeat of Yagluth that fulings appeared in other biomes for the first time.

Our character is not ready for fulings immediately after defeating Moder. Moreover, the justification for events being enabled by the defeat of a boss seems to be that some discipline the boss was exerting on its troops vanishes. Maybe they go rogue, or maybe the next boss is able to recruit them.

However, in the test branch, after the Mistlands update, I started to get "They sought you out events" not long after defeating Yaggs, so it's more complicated that that. In the first one, seeker soldiers smashed through my curtain wall before I was able to kite the action away. It was a near disaster, and my idea of a good time. :steamhappy:

That's how they work. Defeating the Forsaken removes their army invasion event from play, but in most cases causes their minions to disperse throughout the world during the night.
