Use the butcher knife and have mushrooms and berries in your inventory and use it.

thx, it seems to just get angry as soon as i get close to the shelter but ill drop some mushroom and see if something happens In order to tame an animal you have to :
- make some food available to it (for boars, drop some shrooms / berries around like Zen explained)
- have it rest in a calm state (no ! on top of it, "no alarms and no surprises").
It usually takes : building a fence, luring it in, going away so it settles down, then approach stealthily, let it eat, hang around ; it should then have some heart <3 popping above it. The heart means the taming process has started. It takes something around 30-45 minutes irl to complete.

It has begun
If you intend to leave the area for longer times, make sure you have workbench(es) covering the area so that the feed does not despawn.

Made from tin bars. how do you make a butcher knife ?
The food you left them. Items dropped on the ground disappear after an hour unless left inside a workbench's build radius. (And maybe other things, but I'm not sure about that)the feed ? It has begun

They won't despawn, but the taming will pause if you get too far away. Recommend you gather nearby resources to keep busy while you wait. Massive amounts of wood are always in demand. dropped a stack of mushrooms, green heart popping up

Just click on your boar food in your inventory and drag it out into the environment and let go - this will toss the food onto the ground.

Create a fenced/walled-in area to contain the boar. Throw raspberries at it once it gets caught inside. Walk far enough away that it can't see you. It will then calm down, eat the food, and begin taming.
It takes roughly 30 minutes to tame a creature, and you need to be in the general area for it to count (close enough that it doesn't visually despawn).
