Oh, man. Exact same thing happened to me. I was all terrified of engaging them and then I met one and... "What... this is it? That's the whole thing?" The only time they're really a challenge is when I'm on my ship and worried about sinking myself (maybe my ship took a whole lot of damage already) or if I'm already busy pulling a herd of Lox or setting up a raid on a Fuling village and they come and invite themselves to the party while I'm already engaged. Then it can be touch and go.

Same thing with Draugr. I read all these posts about how horribly tough and OP the Draugr were and how they needed to be nerfed and OMG too hard. I read that stuff after I'd already been tromping through the swamps, didn't even put a toe in the forum before and I was like "...What... are these people talking about? Do they not block?"

I wouldn't say most. I would say about 10-15% of it are people complaining.

It's vexing to read posts of that nature, but I surmise your post doesn't do this forum any favours as well. I understand we all need to vent, but perhaps do it on the Reddit forums where it's less restrictive. Over here, the forums should primarily be about sharing ideas, asking for bug support, and LFG.

Oh, I just like to gab :) But I agree, it does seem some folks take the art of kvetching to a new level here.

I am indeed just venting, I come here to read people's idea's and stories. But I see soo much misplaced angst against a game that's just not for everyone and isn't as easy for some folks. Most of the games difficulty can be managed with good preparation, being aware of surroundings and making good in game decisions. I just hate seeing the game get bashed for what is most of the time a "player decision" problem

The forum is an appropriate place for constructive criticism. A lot of the complaints I make are things where I actually think the game would be better if they were changed, and having an opinion to weigh when considering that change is the point.

I agree with constructive criticism, but a lot of people don't do the constructive bit. ^_^

You really think its the Valheim only feature? It's all over the place. Choose any game that is more complicated than Tetris, and you'll get a hundred people that complain about everything.

Some players complained the game is too difficult. I sighed whenever I read about those threads. This game is definitely not difficult. It can be tedious at times, but that's where like you said, we need to prepare better and play smarter.

Valheim has been the only forum I have consistently went back to, even though I was temp banned twice for being mean to the whiners. ^_^ Well, I deserve the bans, just to keep the forum 'clean', but still, people that whine about the game being a farming sim or is too hard really makes me go: o___o

This cracked me up: "more complicated than Tetris".

Back in my junior high school years, I remember some kid a grade higher than me complaining that Tetris was too hard, as he watched me play it on my Gameboy. ^_^

As long as a post/discussion remains constructive and respectful, anyone is welcome to share their opinion here on the forum... good or bad.

There's some of both.

I would like to see a beast of burden added that can be attached to large farming tools and wagons. Similar to a lox but native to Black forests. A moose or bull or something like a horse. I know this won't happen but it would be a neat addition.

I've very recently seen several topics with lists of 'what to change' in the game and, hate saying it but, it all really did read as "too hard, nerf game please" to me. There is this game called Mordhau, it is a melee game in first person perspective. It's awesome but i suck at it so i stopped playing it. I think that maybe that is the deal with some of these people.

Just because you suck at it doesn't mean it sucks.
