What 3 things would you like added/improved/changed?
First love the game, second this is not about ME or US having to mod to change these things.. and they are suggestions I wanted to the active players to consider before they go in the "official" suggestion pile.
1. stub toe in water, and your weapons are put away.. actively hate that.. remove that.. we already can die if we run out of stam. in water so...
2. Day night cycle needs the length doubled.. no only for working, building, sailing to enjoy it.. but seriously here in Seattle's sister it rains a LOT. And one rain storm and your out the day.. that's not challenge (Mistlands is challenge) its just lame.
3. Keep the BUFFS when you log out or come back into a server.. period.
love to see what you all think.. thanks!

Make stamina bar less garbage in general as well as the regen, i'm not expecting dark souls kind of stamina bars but it seems were kinda headed in that direction considering the fighting mechanics.
Fishing, so many things is wrong with it now, no real incentive to make fish n bread if the grind is annoying and is barely better than stam food of the inferior tier.
Omnidirectionnal weapon swinging, or directionnal i suppose, so basically let me preface what it actually means so instead of swinging in the same exact area you character would snap to the general area you are looking while swinging your weapon, what it means is you can hit enemies slightly slopped instead of whiffing and hitting the ground; alternatively instead of having this just give better hitboxes.
There is probably much more stuff i could add but i haven't touched the game in a while.

1 - would like the Team to add some form of riding mechanic for tamed animals like deers, maybe even add horses and bulls/cows, at least as a mid/late game option
2 - most mechanics related to the boat and ocean / open sea, the controls are too cluncky and fishing isn't fun or effient
3 - changed boss weapon and buffs to be more relevant / upgrade and faster cooldowns

I kinda want the game to have more replay value in some sort of maybe in term of weapon progression skill. Each weapons has it own skill, shortsword skill, longsword skill, spear skill, axe and hammer skill etc, everytime 5 or 10 you level up the weapon progression skill you get a new moveset that allow for more customize combat experience for example Shortsword skill at level 5 you unlock Power Wave move; "Charge up and unleash a great shock wave", at level 20 you unlock Round Break move; "A cyclone attack that knocks away foes. Great when surrounded." etc.
Kinda like Rune Factory 3 combat system where everything has it own set of skills, which improve upon player using it continuously. I think we can all agree that 2-handed weapons really sucks so bad during combat because there is no variation of using it considering high level enemies in Plains and Swamp can inflict that much damage if you aren't using shield to block and parry..

- Fix/improve AI.
- Fix mist.
- Add more things that the player can build that then kills them.

1. Better loot drops/ enemy types & variety of enemies. (eg Fenrings only drop a fang)
2. More uses for older materials, specifically for building & crafting - Ancient Bark could be mossy roofs for example.
3. One of my biggest annoyances: Workbench upgrades for early game. For Deer Leather & Troll Leather armour to be fully maxed out you need to have progressed at least into the mountains to get T5 workbench, most people would upgrade or move on to another armour already, rendering Leather armour & Troll armour pointless (for most) early or mid bronze age.
The workaround would be either make Deer Leather/Troll available to craft at workbench lowest level, and upgrade as normal up to T4 instead of T5, making it somewhat viable for the stage of the game you would be at for that stage in progression anyway, bronze age.
Or, make a new Meadows tier or Black Forest tier upgrade maybe a sawhorse or sawbuck (bronze age) for the workbench to get the workbench to level 5 sooner, opposed to going to the mountains & swamp to get the materials needed for level 5. This, (to me at least) makes more sense and viability for tier if one decides to skip Bronze armour as an alternative.

1. Fix interaction with water. Pretty much all interaction with water.
2. Don't lock anything behind defeating bosses. Add other rewards for defeating bosses to incentivize it, but don't arbitrarily limit non-linear progression by making us jump through hoops.
3. Add more rare items, like the fishing pole and tetra fish in the caves. Give us a reason to explor more.
3b) Since it's related, I'm going to try to slip in a fourth: Get rid of the trader. He just seems so out of place. Alternatively, weave him into the rare items that I mentioned. Add more of them that sell rare items that you can run into occationally.

I'm gonna do 3 fixes and 3 additions.
Fixes:
1. Z Axis targeting. Well know it, we all hate it. There has to be a way to fix it without screwing up the balance of the game (Using Z axis now to your advantage)
2. Networking fixes, particularly for dedicated servers: Actually let dedicated servers be dedicated. Host the game logic, AI and simulation on the server, to normalize lag. Yes, it would require a much stronger machine, but Processors and memory have become so cheap (One of the few things that have) I'd say you'd be in it under $500 to make a solid game server (Ryzen 3000 or better, 32GB RAM, display out or low end GPU)
3. Battle Axes should have the same -10% Movement speed penalty as the Greatsword. Axes in general should get a damage buff to compensate for their low swing speed. (Like +25%)
Content Additions:
1. Elite Bosses: Revisit Old Foes in a truly difficult fight with new attacks and new mechanics (For example, the Elder has a massive Regen or Damage resist while his roots are still up). Reward players that conquer these foes with prestige items. They don't necessarily have to be better than anything, they just have to be cool.
2. Bigger Dungeons: The Infested Mines were a great step in the right direction for dungeon design, but I'd really like to see some truly massive dungeons. The Queen's Citadel is a good example of the kind of "Feel" I'm thinking of, though with much more content. At the heart, a unique miniboss encounter. Not a true boss like the Forsaken, but something really dangerous at current tier. For example, if we were at the Black Forest tier, a Two-Star Rancid Remains.
3. A New ship, the final ship. Kind of taking a page from that impressive mod that lets you build your own ships, but nothing so robust. Something more simple, like you can take the hull of a Longship, and then decide what you want out of it. Mount a ballista on the front at the expense of speed and cargo. Allow it to function as its own "Construction Zone" when nobody is inside it. A cabin that can give you some degree of rested bonus (Like comfort level 7), strip it down to almost Karve levels of cargo capacity for a speed bonus. Etc.
The only boss you need to kill is Moder.

1. ability to attack up and down along the z-axis
2. make fishing relevant so that fishing can happen while the boat is moving, generate materials that enable new mechanics like better stamina, fighting in water, jumping in water, etc
3. allow our old shields as decoration on boats to give it extra armour against rocks and sea dwelling creatures.

Fix fishing. Fish freeze up, get stuck in air and the new thrashing mechanic needs better visual feedback/sounds.
Give us a new boat. We've been stuck in the longboat since the Swamps. Its time. I'd like a sleek, very fast boat that turns tight but has poor cargo capacity to balance it.
Have anything protected under a Ward autorepair itself slowly.

There's probably been threads like this, but why not. And no arguing with others, right? *takes a deep breath* I can do this. /s
1. Added: Ashlands. Just make it happen already... within reason.
2. Improved: Multiplayer optimization. As much as is feasible.
3. Changed: ...this is hard. There are some weapons and stuff which could be changed to make them more effective in the playing field where they first come available. A few food recipes as well, maybe. If I had to choose one, it might be Jotun bane.

1. Fix the weapon attack hitboxes so you can actually attack in the direction you point the camera...including 'up' and 'down'.
2. Add the ability to dive in water, not just swim on the surface.
3. Add more content. I don't really care if it's the Ashlands, or just finishing out what feels incomplete in the biomes we already have (plains in particular).

1. Weapon hitbox yes, it's a pain and has been since day one.
2. Stamina regen. Delay on regen is an issue since the food nerfs of H&H.
3. Better snapping so you don't have to build scaffolding for your scaffolding.

so many more items and recipes in the game now. we either need more inventory space or a way to expand it. dedicated armor slots would also fix that issue

1. Let me manually put things down instead of tossing them.
2. We have hides and resin, or even tar. I want a rain poncho.
3. Give me some way of deciding what goes on the cooking rack so I don't accidentally make more roasted boar leg when I wanted deer ribs.

I'd like to see a reduced stamina cost as you improve your weapon skills.
