Remove. Portals.
Having such an amazing world, an overall immersion experience like no other before and ruining it all with a portal is just such a shame. I do understand that the player pool consists of very different people who want very different things from the game. However there are a lot of people who choose not to build portals on their servers in order to maintain the unparalleled immersion this game offers. This comes not only from my personal experience with the game, but also from many YouTubers as well.

Just dont use them. Doing it fine without building up portals, meanwhile restricting everyone else from them is pretty meh - lots of gamer dads save their precious time.

Yeah, no. I respect your desire to experience the world first-hand, but you are asking for a feature to be removed in order to cater to people without enough willpower to decide for themselves whether or not to use them.

No. Would make this game absolutly boring. Barley and flax for example. I would have to travel for days to the next plains biome, just to harvest my fields.
It´s already tedious enough to travel from one plain to the next trying to find yagluth.
And youtubers do not represent the playerbase. They do content based on whatever get´s them the most clicks.

I would remove portals if 1. We get faster boats, backpacks, boats that we can builds homes on for example. The are many things that we can gain that TP will render pointless.
Or redo TP. What if TP randomly spawns on islands and we got to find it, fix it, and get it running. Thus another reasons for players to go exploring into the worlds

I can usually role-play any features into or out of a given game. Mods and/or Self-control is empowering. Having official developer hard-coded additions or subtractions for every single permutation of player interest is just not realistic, in my opinion.

I would 100% support portals being structures placed in random locations on each island that we have to repair to get running. That combined with faster boats, larger inventory, more carry weight, the ability to teleport ores, and the ability to make a boat our spawn point / home / bed.
