New Maps, Old bosses
If I defeat the Bosses in my original first-game Map Seed (I just bought the game), then I start a second Map Seed after I defeat all the Bosses from the original Map Seed, do the "unlocked" higher-level monsters that raid my Base from the original Map Seed start raiding right away any Base in the second Map Seed?
Or do I get a "reset" of just the Greylings raiding any Base I make in the second Map Seed until i defeat The Elder and above again? Even though I'm using my full-leveled character that comes from the first Map Seed and defeated all the Bosses already?
I hope that makes sense ... lol

Soooooooo awesome ... thanks for the reply. Just what I was hoping for. After all my building work (which I love to do so much) only to constantly try to save it from higher level monsters instead of just being allowed to goof around in it building and exploring would have been frustrating. Progression is by map not by character. So yeah, if you want like a more peaceful world where you can build and chill, you can totally bring your character (and inventory) into a new world. You can bounce back and forth freely between maps.

Mobs can't cross or damage big terrain changes. All you need to raid proof your base is a moat you dig with a pickax or get your hoe and some stone, and raise terrain walls. Congrats, your base is now raid proof.
If you just want to build for the fun of it, why not just enable console and give yourself infinite resource and flight mode?

I still like some things to happen to break the monotony, even though it is the building which I love and is so awesome in these types of games. Just not overpowered monsters that can beat me down and eat up fun time. And the ideas for monster-proofing the Base are still bouncing around my brain. I want something that could be do-able in real life at that time of centuries ago while working aesthetically with the land. Picky and obsessive, but part of the fun i like.
