Ok, thank you all. I will create a new world/character and start test building.

You can even make a copy of your not modded world you can play as not modded
And then you can make a copy and add mods

This way you can play modded and Vanilla just by starting the exe files

There is no creative mode. Buy LEGO maybe instead?

just make 1 dude the cheat builder and build some nice stuff, then start a new character on the same SEED and begin from a position of power.

There is no creative mode. People are referring to the debug/developer 'cheat' codes that let you spawn whatever you want as 'creative mode'. There are also mods that let you do all sorts of unintended things to building.

that is a lot of support... ^^ the new pretty beams can have an ironwood inside them, if you like.

will you have items you gave yourself in devmode : yes. anything in your player's bags will be carried between worlds.

When you use the debug mode to get into free building it doesn't add stacks of items to your bags like Mincrafte does. In valhiem it just disables the checks for available materials and workbenches when you build something. Nothing in your bags gets changed.

Devmode, god mode, etc. get reset when you log out and have to be reenabled each time you want to use them.

The only way something new will end up in your bags is if you pick it up or you use the spawn <item> command to get the item. So if you really want zero chance of "cross contamination" between your creative mode play and your normal play a second character/world is the best option.

There is no "Creative Mode", however, if you create a seed and don't kill any Bosses on it, the biggest raid threat are some angry boars and necks. I use this type of seed to do all my builds on.
