Sorry for your loss. Best advice I can give is make sure your bees is secure by walling them and place them as high as possible. Bees are gold in this game specially early game.

Since my bees usually are close to where I can repair their hive, I've never lost one. But then I also pick them up after a battle right away. I tend to not leave stuff lying around long that were destroyed.

I do the very same and... bees are happy!

Make sure you keep a bench near by to prevent despawns.

Don't leave aggressive enemies in a place they can do damage. Kill stuff before you leave an area.

Find more bees.

You could probably use the console and cheat them in. Don't know how personally.

Honey you end up with tons anyway. Unless you slam potions constantly.
