Gjalls take too much to kill for almost no reward.

I like the idea behind them but they have way too much HP, do too much damage, spawn too many ticks, Burn damage, Cant see them in the fog half the time. They are not worth fighting for what they drop. It's all just a bit too much. I think a lot less hp is all that really needs to be done to bring them to a decent lvl. You expend sooo many arrows to kill one for a single bilebag which I havent seen a use for yet. And if even a single seeker add joins the fight it becomes incredibly hard to out run the seeker and still have enough stam to shoot the Gjall while dodging its fireballs. I know its just my opinion but I can't be the only one. And don't even get me started on the 1 star one I had to fight last night.

Maybe it's my way to play. I'm used to close combat and parry, and I had no problem managing the mobs into the mist.
Sure the Mistlands isn't the best place for a bow.

Yes, seems so.

I had not found the weakspot thank you for that but you still cant even seen them half the time as they are out of range of your wisp. I just think the combination of it all for solo/duo players is too much. Groups of 3 or larger shouldnt have too much trouble.

Fire Staff kind of is the answer to all of Mistlands' trouble.
Massive AoE Damage and Knockback easily deals with Seeker and Tick Hordes out in the open and Dungeons alike, Hares can be instantly blasted with the hard to miss AoE before they can juke away, and Gjall's it easily takes down too with the massive damage as well as huge Burning DoT keeping them lit up and visible in the sky even through the fog - as well as taking no limited resource like Arrows or Bolts - and freeing up all your stamina for dodging and running from attacks, as Magic just consumes Eitr, meaning you are also never caught off guard with no stamina to attack after traversal, kiting and the like.
Combine it with Staff of Protection for a couple hundred HP Barrier with leveled Blood Magic so you can go triple Eitr Food (or double Eitr + one Stamina for traversal), and the game, including Mistlands and Gjall's, becomes a breeze.

Yeah, you're 100% right. They just deal too much damage. Their hp and their ticks are both manageable(at least with no stars), but their fire attacks can kill you in seconds even with a fire res pot active. They should be toned down a bit.

The reward is not being eaten by its offspring.
Also, if that thing is so hard to obtain, there must be a good use for it.
