I think thats what the OP is commenting on, they have done EVERYTHING. There isn't anything really new to keep players motivated to keep playing.

With the build up of "Hearth & Home:" the update actually changed very little in relation to hearth and home. And effectivly zero new content beyond the Growths and tar pits. Nothing new in the Mistlands or Ashlands. They could have added 3-4 star Trolls to the Mistlands or super Stone Golems to the Far North just to give players something new to do until the next update, but the devs didn't. They tweaked the health/stamina balance of the foods, altered the foods making them require more attention than before, and reworked combat. That affected a lot of people, on both sides of the topic, but didn't add anything new that made the game worth playing while everyoen got used to teh new systems.

I know some people love the H&H update, some hate it, but the one thing that everyone seems to agree on is the update disappointed on the content front. I have yet to see a single comment of "Yay! the update didn't add any new content! \o/" or similar.

I've looked at the player stats for the game, the number of players has been in a slow decline the last few months. There has been an uptick since the H&H update but thats already starting to drop off again. Add to that the fact that the update will have caused some players who were already "meh" about the game to simply leave without a word.

The next update better come soon and add some real content or the game is going to continue losing it's player base simply due to boredom.

Thank you, You are very correct. This is EXACTLY what I mean. Valheim is probably my fav game out, but the problem is I literally can't do anything else. There is nothing else for me to do anymore.

There is a ton of mods that make the game more interesting
Set the serpent spawner to spawn 1-5 Serpents at once
Same for the Golem Spawner
Same for these Red Slimes (Well maybe better 1-10)
Same for the Trolls

And then play it Permadeath

Did you read the quote that you posted? It's one of the top 20 games on steam as an early access indi. It's above Wallpaper Engine! (WTH is that?)

Besides, I have the game, I have a server, why do I care about player count?

Also, they said that Mistlands will be the next update. I'm sure you know that. They added a new mob, and you apparently are already tired of it. Would adding one more keep you occupied for another hour?

I think the issue is that we completed all the available content, but havnt completed the game, because the game isnt complete.

I think their #1 priority from now on, should be finishing the remaining biomes and boss-fights, so that we can complete the game and move on. If they decide to spice things up after this, then it would merit a second playthrough.

What frustrates alot of people, is that they cant complete their playthroughs, but kind of just end up dead in the water, i think.

but how would that give us something to do? im supposed to go kill mobs that have no drops, or the same drops as their weaker counterparts? i wouldnt even bother with that

devs said they want everything added to the game to have a purpose, new mobs need new drops, new drops need to craft into new items

there would be a lot of building todo if building wasn't so restricted, glass is behind an enemy on top of a mountain that spawns once usually and takes hours of sailing to get enough for a few windows!

blocks being height limited by requiring iron also making building a chore, anyone actually building anything with any kind of scale is either cheating in the stuff or just doing it straight in creative mode

watching Valheim youtubers and reading some easily impressed people opinions there and on reddit, it seems this game got absolute tons of new content. I think we, the negative whining crowd must have missed something?

I've beaten the game twice, with friends and without. I keep forgetting that there's 5 devs and I can't expect the content to come as quickly as other games.
