Your looking in the wrong place. Nexusmods is been boycotted due to their ToS change last year (where they get to keep anything posted to their site forever and distribute it how ever they see fit).

Not mods as such but some people have created custom world saves of Middle Earth, Europe, Azeroth. The usual suspects.

Do not delete toons , it takes so long to level up.I am still using my first toon from 2 years ago and it always transfers to new game update with no problems.Valhiem plus is one best and really for most its all you need to make game better.Hate the fog, inside my little hovel !
Atleast updates are so so far apart that you can run a modded world for awhile.I was going to wait for game to finished before I modded then I realised a finished Valhiem is for much later in human history

the only thing that has annoyed me was not being able to plant thistles or berries or mushrooms.
that said, i stopped using the mod that altered that and i just deal with it.

Tree Respawn (plants a free seed when you remove a stump)
Clock Mod (adds a display that shows in-game time of day)
Instant Monster Drop (no more delay before dead monsters pop)
Show Plant Progress (HUD of % complete when mouse-over growing plants & trees)
Trash Items (adds a delete item button to the inventory)

^-- those will not be immersion-breaking

The following mods I recommend for after you have finished vanilla, as they add content and functionality, --- v

Epic Loot (adds enchanted and unique loot, enemies can drop equipment now)
Better Wards (adds elemental wards that can damage enemies, repair structures, and heal)
Safe Death (adds option for player death to have no skill loss, keep inventory, keep buffs)
Teleport Everything (metal/eggs can now be teleported)
Mass Farming (shift+click plant a 6x6 grid, or harvest the same size in one shift+click)
Farm Grid (hold shift to see a HUD grid, that perfectly spaces trees & crops)

Valheim Plus has been updated, and it has lots of QoL functions. Increase light at night, so no strain of the eyes. No more heavy fog, also easy on the eyes. Light sources never need fuel. Craft from chests. Zoom out while sailing. Loot floats, so no more boat reagents sinking to sea bottom. It also has Advanced Buildling Mode and Editing Mode and transport ore through portals. One click repairs everything in a wide AoE radius. The list goes on and on. It is the only mod I use, because its like 20 mods in one.

please remember that as of now modding is not officially supported. It's done at your own risk, there are no guarantees for future compatibility. Please keep backups of your save files before you start modding. If you need technical support, please always include a full list of active AND prior mods, since that can influence the game's behaviour with regard to bugs.

I think the majority of the mod community has switched to using Thunderstore. I also think there's some hesitation to update when Mistlands might be coming soon.

Thanks for reminding me, Nefrarya, but I'm prepared for the time when the final game releases. Which means, I don't really care about the actual character's fate, I'm just deleting it and will create a new world. :) I quite love the game.
I think you are right, Altimely: probably the wast majority is waiting for the Mistlands update to be released and configure their own mods to that.
If I'm not mistaken, 2 other biomes will be populated in the future, right?
