I lost 140 scrap iron (4.5~ hours of work)

Welp the game was super fun until the stamina gave me no choice but to toss out my iron onto my ship. BUT the ship is apparently not there to the iron so my 5 hours and 140 scrap iron sunk to the bottom of the ocean! I really wish you could swim down in this game or have the boat be physically there for the items to land on... Also make it so the player can still move when hes exausted please just very slow... and wth happens to the player when he cant climb two inches onto a rock when he is out of stamina? Is there any way to get my iron back besides cheats? I tried raising the ground but it just pushes the metal further away.... :steamsad:

You can also raise the land out to the loot and the loot will pop to the surface.

Well, it sucks, but I guess games shouldn't always be about our convenience and "simple fun". Sometimes you need to gamble with more care, or not do things just because they feel natural to do.

Just don't treat exhausting as something simple and harmless, and it won't ever happen again. Exhausting is something that kills you in water and kills you in fights.
I always carry Stamina potions around, just in case I'll be caught fighting something nasty. I guess you can also carry stamina potions for just the case.

The best way to fix that, IMO, would be to either boost stamina drain greatly, or prevent player from moving, if he has 2x encumbrance. That won't be handy in certain cases, but at least you won't be tempted doing such silly moves.

For now I just spawned in the iron scrap oh well I just think the devs should allow items to land on a ships surface uh hmm!:steamfacepalm:
He he, I was just trying to figure out how you wasted that much time on so little ore, the only logical thing I could think of was that you didn't know about larger craft with storage since 140 isn't much even for a karve.

Pro tip-
Ships will anchor position if you jump off them. <and no one else is on it>
So run ship aground and jump off it.
From shore you can reach in and get to storage, do not jump back in boat, that will break it free.
Also just logging out and back in will restore your stamina.

Or just use other worlds for all your mining and not leave your main world base to begin with, if you're gonna go that route.

As far as things landing on the boats, if that were allowed it would kinda negate the purpose of ships having cargo holds.

@ warrenchmobile "Your explanation of your dilemma is inadequate"... blah blah blah who are you steams technical writer?? I explained it two different ways man lol. I'd have to give a video but yea the only lesson learned here is the fact that the items DO NOT stay on the top of a boats surface is just plain stupid. They glitch right through the ship lol.

Don't raise the ground under the iron first, raise it around it like a bowl then raise the center so it doesn't slide away.
Also if you are close enough to something you can put a workbench on, you can build a reverse ramp with roof pieces and walk/swim under it to force yourself downwards like for underwater building.
The underwater building oh wow thissss!! LOL

Your explanation of your dilemma is inadequate. Since it takes no stamina to sit at the rudder and steer a boat, I must assume you were either on the boat but not at the rudder or in the ocean next to the boat when you ran out of stamina. At that point you could not move to the rudder if you were on the boat or swim to the boat ladder in you were in the water.

If you were on the boat, the scrap iron apparently slid off ithe deck into the ocean when you tossed it. If you were in the water next to the boat, the scrap iron apparently bounced off the gunwhale instead of landing on the deck.

In either case, the simple solution is to log out of the game and immediately log back in. If you are quick, the boat will have moved only slightly in the interval. You will lose all your rested bonus when you log back in but you will regain your stamina.

At any rate, you should have learned a very valuable lesson: don't screw around in the water.

Not sure what to say to this. 'stamina gave you no choice but to toss' your iron onto your ship, and you had to carry 140 scrap iron in the middle of the ocean?

If it's close to the shore, you should be able to recover the iron.

My 2p - 1. plan it better next time. 2. use 'Return' to create paragraphs in posts.

If you can see it on the bottom and it's not too deep, build a small tower and jump onto it. You go down into the water some when jumping off a high spot. Why didn't you put it in the ships hold? You had that full too I'm guessing.
