What she said.

Biggest differences:
1. Valheim is co-op capable, Kenshi is not.
2. Valheim has random world generators, Kenshi does not.
3. Kenshi has multiple NPCs for you to manage and assign jobs, Valheim does not.

Very different games, they are not comparable in any meaningful way. Saying that if you're the type that likes Kenshi then you will most likly find things to enjoy with Valheim. Just make sure to mod the new stamina system out.

Kenshi by far is a long ways off from what Valheim is.
Kenshi is squad based god view game with automated combat with building elements where the best way to progress is to get beaten up often. long as it doesnt kill you.

Valheim is a bilinear quest driven exploration combat and building game with food/stamina and potion management needed for many of the areas. with magic elements added at the Mistlands stage. Valheim is also MP optional.

performance wise both are widely different as well. Kenshi is built on a 20 year old custom made game engine which can only use 32bit architecture which limits its feature's it could have and has performance issues if not installed onto a SSD.

Valheim is on a modern game engine and its limitation's are geared to what type of computer the player has.

I play both and love them both for what type of game play they are. very different from each other.

Entire game is playable offline, no net required except for download.

As for content so far, without trying to spoil late-game too much, there's 6 bosses, soon to be 7 with the Ashlands update. Each boss is vastly different to eachother, and themed off the biome they are in. you got your standard melee weapons (swords, axes, etc.), ranged weapons (bows, harpoons, etc.) and more late-game.

You can go fishing, which just got recently expanded upon.

For armours typically through the tiers there is a second option, the main option for armour being heavy but durable and tanky (bronze armour for example), and the second option being more light, nimble and focused on a certain skill (troll hide armour for example, increasing your stealth)

Building is pretty nice, with a creative mindset you can pull off some pretty awesome builds (see build of the month), and occasionally you will be raided by enemies as well, not too hectic but good for a quick gain of resources and materials from them.

Can't say i've played nor heard of Kenshi though, so i cant really compare it to that.

I've played both games and like them equally. Kenshi has a lot more stuff to build, it's quite complex, it has NPCs to add to your warband and a tactical feel to it when trying to build reputation but not get wiped out by a faction you have angered.

Valheim is more casual, you're on your own (without mods for NPCs), building is nice and I enjoy exploring the randomly generated worlds. I think Kenshi would provide more to do, long-term, but I like both games.

Valheim doesn't need to load the map every five seconds, so it's more enjoyable than Kenshi on this aspect XD

Not sure what the hell Kenshi is about but this game is awesome, maybe check out a few Valheim gameplay videos for it before you think about a purchace. I recommend this though. Maybe ask someone on your friends list for a recommendation. Up to you.

I haven't played Kenshi, but from what I know about both games - thay aren't very similar and you shouldn't expect the same amount of content or hours as in Kenshi.

Valheim can be played solo and offline, but there isn't much interaction with NPCs, so little social aspect if you play it solo. I prefer it co-op.

Unless you are a speed runner, you are looking at tens of hours of captivating exploration. Hundreds, if you enjoy building elaborate structures out of a variety of materials. The replay value is amazing.

The entire game is playable solo, in Steam offline mode and/or completely disconnected from the Internet.

Please note that the game is still "early access" and new content is being added since 2021.

I will let others compare it to Kenshi.
