If you have these items you should be able to build it

3 Dandelion
2 Carrot
5 Mushroom
3 Thistle
3 Turnip

Turnips, Onions...that was the point anyway, don't have all the ingredients yet.

Turnips were what I was missing - look for yellow flowers in the swamp, then plant the seeds in your base.

Incidentally, just in case you're missing carrots (too), white flowers in the black forest, plant those in your base as well.

You need to have gotten both at some point to unlock it.. and you'll need them to craft as well... Everything else just grows wild in their respective biomes.

you can make looking for turnip seeds in swamp tons easier, by huge factor, by temporarily lowering vegetation graphic option to minimum.

makes the seeds completely stand out alone and finding them lot easier. after you get them, can turn vegetation graphic setting back up

If your swamp has a Dark forest border, look along this border.

You don't need onions to build it.

The OP probably haven't found the turnips yet and so the construction do not show up.
If it's turnip, then go search the seeds in the swamps (yellow plants, not many there, hard to find).
