turning off the foliage will help a lot. Also makes it easier to spot mushrooms and stuff.

I play with only distance detail on. Runs a lot better. Still a bit slow around fires though.

right click on valheim and paste this into launch options:
-window-mode exclusive -screen-fullscreen
disable vsync in valheim and enable fast vsync for valheim in your app-specific GPU settings.

People say all kinds of things.
There's a mod that'll expose more graphics options that helps a lot to fix some of the issues.
https://www.nexusmods.com/valheim/mods/351
Most of the options in the graphics menu are useless for performance, the ones that impact it that are exposed are vegetation and shadows and draw distance, the rest are just post processing and don't impact the game performance at all.
The game itself is a bottleneck for performance. I'm using an old ass computer and it can't use all my cpu or gpu and it should be maxing them out completely. But I'm just sitting around 75% across the board at anywhere between 60 and 15fps.
There's a lot of optimization left to do.

Hi!
I have add the same problem! Reading and trying ereything whithout success...
Until I started to incriminate my computer instead of the game.
For me it came from my power settings, I have an ASUS TUF GAMING and first things I did was to set up the max power of the processor at 100% in the power settings... mistake.
I cam back to 95% max and now, not a single stutter! Try out and tell us if it solved your problem too.
