Planted too close, can I save them?
New to planting, so many of my carrots say " Too Close", Can these be saved, or do I just shrug it off?

When they get enough room to grow they will grow =D
Or you can attack them to remove

I don't think they can be saved. Wait a while and see though. Maybe they just need more space after you've harvested the normal ones.

If the ones around the edges fully grow and are harvested, that'll open up more room and the others will then grow.
In general you want to leave 1m between the center of all crops.

If always ignored it and for some reason they eventually grow anyway so i just leave it there, guess it just takes longer.

It depends.
If you can remove what they are too close to they will change back to green.
Sometimes I have had ones that were on top of an area I removed a large rock but I think rock bits were left behind under the soil and things wouldn't grow there. They will just vanish once the growing cycle ends though.
Not sure how the game handles a bunch of crops too close to each other though. If they are all bad perhaps selective culling by punching them would help.. but if the game just allows every other one or something then I would probably just leave it and learn to make them a bit further apart.

...planted crops should behave like other constructions, I feel. Either be Red in a 'bad' location[too close] or allow the construction to be removed/deleted; as is, mechanics allow for bad placement to be informed only AFTER the placement??....I find no way to 'unplant' something, although there seems to be a control hint that says so? Middle mouse button or whatever, no such button on my mouse with scroll wheel[which depresses] or the 2 side buttons I have...does that.
I did manage to get some flax to 'regreen' after some nearby ones were harvested, only crop I've seen do this, the others seem to 'disappear' when all other crops in vicinity are 'ripe'...carrots, barley, etc...never go back to green and become harvestable.

It depends how close they are and for how long. Crowding can either cause slow growth or outright kill a plant. If it's so crowded it stops growing completely, after too long like that it will die completely.
