What will the next 'special' armor set be?
I carried this side topic over from another thread to hear your thoughts on what the next special set of armor might look like.
So far we have:
Troll; + sneak skill
Root; + bow skill / pierce resist / poison resist
Fenris; + run speed / +fists / fire resist / frost resist
If the 'pattern' holds true the next special armor, being at least a tier better, will offer various bonuses based on what pieces are worn and if a complete set is equipped. Additionally, I would argue, it will offer at least as many bonuses as Fenris does.
What might we see?
I would guess any new set will have at least one +weapon skill (maybe a bone set - someone mentioned such a set would seem to fit the Mistlands theme- would give +club/mace skill?).
But what else could be added?
I could see the addition of a +block skill (which would fit nicely with almost any +weapon).
Also, we may see an 'new' resistance they may add with the new biomes (acid?), a repeat of a resistance already offered but on a higher tier set (another poison resist for instance) or a +resist for a damage type in game now such as spirit or lightning.
It will be interesting to see what they come up. I have had fun with all the existing sets and each set excels in certain areas so I look forward to what will come.
Thoughts on what we might see?

I think the 'berserker' set is the best guess so far. Fits into the lore nicely as well.
As to perks I would guess they will stay along the lines of what we have seen meaning a +bonus to an existing skill and/or a +resist (potentially a new one with the new biome).
I don't see them adding a new combat move or a specific weapon bonus, but instead will stick to general weapon skill (+clubs instead of +Iron Maul).
But who knows...

I was going to suggest a Berserker set as well, similar to yours, albeit that it buffs 2 handers specifically; be it +x amount of skill to all 2 hander weapons or add a unique set bonus "cull the weak" - deals more damage the lower the enemies health is, or maybe even removes the movement penalties from 2 handed weapons weapons. Would be the plains alternative set, and i also thought it could use some black metal for some key areas like the shoulders or waist etc. Berserker set.
Lox Pelts, Yimir Flesh, Deer Hide, Boar Trophy, Skeleton Trophy, Chain, Wolf Fangs.
Buffs Melee capability. Frost resistant & Blunt resistant. 3 piece set.
I really like this idea of duel wielding with the Berserker set. I feel like this would make the game a lot more PvP friendly because it would allow for more different styles of fighting instead of the basic shield and sword/mace/knife. I think the clothes will be made from a lox head trophy, fuling trophy, and some other newer metals like the flame metal or the marble metal. I bet that it will also bonus attack speed and damage but only after drinking a cup of Ale so you will need to keep that handy for a fight.
I also like the idea that someone else wrote about the tar set of clothes which will let you jump higher and take less fall damage (Fall damage is the lead cause of my deaths) so I think that outfit will make it safer and easier to build houses. It will consist of the trophy of the growths and wolf fangs as well as a lot of the red stuff you find in the mountain caves.

Honestly, the more unique sets and set bonuses, the merrier. More unique sets just means more ways to play the game, which equates too more fun, and for people who play together, they can pick a role; be it a tank with a shield, a 2 hander, an archer, etc to form a formidable team. Because currently there is only two different armour sets for each biome, metal armour being quite bland as it's main gimmick is that it just gives armour. Though it is a start, and i do hope the devs notice and add in more unique armour sets. I can see things like a deathsquito armour set as well, more of a glass cannon type playstyle, very low armour, but could give things like crit chance + increased crit damage, as well as buff the players pierce damaging weapons (as the deathsquito has a stinger, hence the buff to pierce damage), it would reward more risky plays, moreso focusing on dealing as much damage as possible, fly like a butterfly sting like a bee. Crystal armour from the golems in the mountains could be plausible, very heavy, so a high amount of armour, though very slow, however the set bonus could be that they are immune to any form of CC, like slows and stuns, that would allow a more tank-like playstyle (could also be a reliable way to haul a heavy cart). Another could be a "wanderer" set, similar to leather armour in it's style, it's low armour and general lack of combat bonuses could be compensated by giving the player lower sprint + jump stam usage and generally give more stamina, or just buff stamina regen. It would fit an explorer playstyle that generally avoids combat.I was going to suggest a Berserker set as well, similar to yours, albeit that it buffs 2 handers specifically; be it +x amount of skill to all 2 hander weapons or add a unique set bonus "cull the weak" - deals more damage the lower the enemies health is, or maybe even removes the movement penalties from 2 handed weapons weapons. All of these i just made up off the top of my head, and i'm sure there are many more possible ideas. I believe that as a community we should offer ideas, and if they're maybe not realistic, or too powerful or just too much in general, that we should try and refine the concepts to increase the chance that they make it into the base game.

Something with +Disease resist for the possibly disease-ridden ticks? How about a jump or swim speed buff on a new set of armor? I think many of you are right that we'll have an armor made of Lox pelts.

I would love to see a 2 set piece, Spider piece weapons, and a web like cloak. Weapons can do 50% posion dmg maybe, with 50% base of the weapon. Cloak can maybe give extra armor and on dodge roll or block spawns a single young spider (only 1 possible at a time). I think the theme would be amazing.

a water proof armor will be a logic step, lets say a chitin+tar, heavy set to compensate

I think life skill armours would be cool, like a farmers set which if you plant crops while wearing it they grow faster, or a builders set that decreases stamina cost when the hammer is equipped.

Flame metal armour. It is a dark coppery colour, with shimmering blueblack reflections when the sun hits it just right. It will add bonus to all elemental resistances. There will be a cape made from the carapaces of elite mistland spiders. It is black with a red hourglass-shaped marking, like on the underside of a female black widow's globular abdomen. It has little armour but a ton of poison resistance.

Lox hide armor which gives bonuses to melee, some % damage mitigation, frost resistance but minus fire and lightning resistance.

Iād be interested in a light version armor using lox stuff.
The Pelts or just taking up space at the moment.

Okay, I'll bite;
Elder moth armour; gives a boost to a new skill, +scrolls; makes you less likely to be stricken blind while attempting to read forsaken scrolls which give... iunno, permanent random skill boosts? (EDIT: even better; they give 5% total exp remaining to skill 100, giving diminishing returns the higher your skills are.)
Also give lightning resist, because Giant Moths totally shoot lightning and stuff, and allow you to tame moth mounts that fly fast overland, but get bogged down and can't fly if they get wet. base move speed is slightly slower than a sprinting lox, and the sprint action is flight allowing you to boogie up a mountain.
Am I doing this right?
