Not possible to be in the wrong server or world as previously stated its Single Player and the ONLY world i had at the time. No other active worlds.

Save files are saved local so no lulz...

But is it not the task of steam cloud to save savegames on the cloud so that you can play the same game on different PC´s ?!

Well you are not the first with that issue, but you would be the first that has that issue with disabled steam cloud.

Only other reason is a broken SSD/HDD

I notice strange shapes on your minimap. Reacted on something similar today in newly explored plains, almost as if the land was unexplored even if it wasn't. also feeling like something is really wrong with the game.

how old is your save / how many days in?

how many instances, press F2. have you done this before and can do a raw comparison?

the steam update today made me freeze in awe how they gonna reuse corrupted files.

maybe the game struggle with new changes on old maps.

Is that what it looked like before you lowered it manually or is it even higher than when it was unaltered? Did it just go back to the original seed?
