half kilometer.... hm difficult to judge for me in the game world. but i guess when i passed by a mountain i cant expect to find a cave on it anymore. sad. i am not a big fan of rebuiding. its too much farming and terraforming. maybe i just use different world for exploring new content.

Or trip to a far mountain in the first world

Or use upgrade world to undo your exploration. This scenario is exactly what it was designed to fix.

No caves in already explored areas. Time for a ship cruise....

you will have to find new mountains or start a new world. With the updated content of a couple patches I am taking my stuff to a new world to build a couple new castles and waiting for the next big update before I go heavily exploring. This way I can have fun rebuilding my castles while I wait for the next big content update and explore a few caves.

'Already explored' means anywhere you've been within half a kilometre of. The mod is Upgrade World.
