What do you use Greydwarf Eyes for?

Not sure if it was a dream, but haven‘t we been able to throw these eyes into fires to get a fireworks?
Looking at my storage there a 2 items that stack up massively: resin and greydwarf eyes, has anyone a hint where this can be used other than put them in the Obliterator?

It certainly looks cool! I love seeing builds using the blue lights. We just don't have enough in my server to make them, because we used so many for portals and eyescream. We're just getting to plains, so we won't be using eyescream as our top-tier for much longer; we only use top tier food when about to go somewhere dangerous, though.

Iirc they use freeze glands, not dwarf eyes.

Eyescream is pretty much redundant once you have bread/bloodpudding (at least for me one stamina food is enough)

I use lower grade food when in a house or in lower level biomes and save the highend stuff for boss fights. the plains and goblin raids.

Iron is plentiful, its just tedious to get in large amounts. Ive got probably 1000 + bars in supports in buildings now.

How many you need probably depends on how many greydwarves you kill and how long you spend in the mountain biome before advancing to bread. I ate about half my eye supply in eyescream before I made it to onion soup.

You also might want to keep the resin to fuel sconces when you get them. Otherwise, you'll have one dark base! I doubt you'd use only the blue torches, because they are more expensive, unless you are just very keen on the color.

Phenomenal tips guys, I have an entire chest almost filled with eyes and another with resins. resins always come extremely useful, but didn't know eyes had more uses beyond portals. food and blue fire are delicious! just annoying iron is so hard to come by to make more of those.

Don't destroy them!
They are needed for gates, eyescream and fuel for blue torches.
We actually ran out of them in the swamps.

Portals
Eyescream - food
Save them all! There are various other things they are used for. Eyes and resin, sock up on them.

You can use the greydwarf eyes for portals, totems (these only work in servers with people, solo it's pointless to use them) and the resin can be your fuel for torches, just keep a small steady supply of them, I think each portal needs 10 greydwarf eyes and since you need at least two, you will need 20 for each pair of portals

Portals could be an option once new biomes come.
Torches/Sconces mh, ok i have like 25 in my main base and 20 at various outposts, but still the resin piles up.
Maybe with next updates more uses will come.

I throw them into a chest and forget about them. When the chest fills up, I find or build an empty chest and start filling that one up. The storage room in one of my main buildings has a good supply of them. In my current game, I'm torturing myself by not using portals at all and building transportation networks (trails, paved roads, and ferry ports) instead, so one of the main uses for eyes is eliminated. I've built lots of empty shells of unnecessary buildings all over the place. Right now, most of them just have a fire, a bed, and a couple chests, but I have plans for them. When/if I get around to furnishing and decorating them, I'm sure I will add lots of normal and blue torches, and the resin and eyes will start to get used. Of course, supplies in one area are likely to get depleted while I have a surplus somewhere else, so I will be dragging carts full of eyes and resin down the roads I have been building. Eventually, I'll get sick of it and play other games until the next big update comes out, and I'll start all over again with a new accumulation of eyes and resin.
