PhValheim tooling and naming question, we love Valheim! A question for IronGate Devs.

Hi IronGate,

First things first, me and mine love Valheim. It's been the center piece of our Friday nights since the first release. So much so we went deep into modding, and I mean deep.

To keep us all in-sync, we started with mod managers, then shell scripts and now PhValheim. Our friends and family of ages ranging from 9-40 play and we needed something to keep us in-sync with mods and game identical between all clients and the server.

We have it working on Windows, Linux and the Steam Deck. We'd like to get the client posted in the tools section of the Steam Store for free, to make it easier for folks to install and upgrade the client. In no way are we trying to step on the name or profits. I wanted to ask before spending the $100 on the appid fee. :)

BTW, the Ph is simply a shortened name Phospher, the name of an old BBS we cut our teeth on. (phospher.com). It was lazy and now the name is all over the codebase. :/ A rename isn't out of the question.

We didn't expect PValheim to get the attention it's gotten. We really just built it for ourselves and it's turned into a hobby for us.

Hopefully this reaches the IronGate team. Thank you for the incredible work you folks have done!

Thank you for your contributions to Valheim. It is much appreciated, in any shape or form.

However, Valheim currently doesn't support mods and definitely won't before 1.0 (at least). Multiple users offered similar help to make modding more accessible, but for reasons stated above there will be no decision made yet. Thank you.
