Yeah, it's just the pups. I think it even makes sense they still howl, since they are the equivalent of babies or kids.

Comparitively they don't, it used to be like a constant sample loop.

It's the pups. That might be an oversight bug, or maybe the devs don't consider pups to be technically wolves yet. Could be a translation thing.

Either way they should quiet down when they finish breeding.
