Stamina Recharge Rate
So ate a salad, blood pudding, and fish and bread. Went to chop trees fully rested, dry, and with a wolf cape.
The recharge rate on stamina feels so slow. Sure the Max bar was 200+ but the slow rate of recharge doesn’t feel like it scales well to the higher levels.

Other as doing the 2HP / 1 Stam food, ever thought about using the "Elder power" before starting to chop wood?
It would help you as it makes you consume less stamina because you're chopping trees faster.

2 Health/1 Stam food is king.
0/120 stamina is the same as 0/220 stamina.
^This
However I still feel like this mechanic needs some work. It doesn’t feel good gameplay wise imo.
If I were to propose a solution I would say have stamina recharge rate faster when its lower and have the rate diminishing as it’s closer to being full.

Ordinarily I do but this was on a whim so I didn’t go get the power. It really helps a lot.

On the subject of chopping wood. If you have a tree farm where the trees are fairly close together you might consider using a crystal axe when gathering lumber. It doesn't lose chop dmg when swinging through multiple logs and is able to do so more easily. You can often clean up quicker then if you used a black metal, especially if you use elder power with it.

Tree farms are great. Especially on a hill where you can get them to fall on each other.

I try to eat 1 health 1 stam and a food thats 50/50 or 40/60 (to health) roughly getting them matched but you do need more stamina in mistalnds as it constantly eats it on the terrain, in an area you cannot see but do kno its just rocks followed by more rocks and nothing but rocks that your constantly haveing to run and jump all the time to move. you die you may as well right off everything you was wearing and had in your bag, you aint getting it back. the wisp would be lost too so would need to make another, you cannot place lights on rocks only on flat ground making placing a light pathway virtually impossible.
Mistlands for me = hate it literally hate it, the mobs are tough enough without the constant stamina drain and lack of vision. its bloody rediculous

No rest bonus means no stamina, regardless of what you've eaten.

you have a tree chopping boss buff and a stamina regen mead. If you need to go faster than those 2 on 3 hot stamina foods, you are really going at it!
also a proper planted tree farm you should be knocking them together enough that most everything busts up with minimal work.
You can also try to get a monster to help out. A nice abomination assisting while you cut trees and guide it into others to cut for you perhaps?

That's not true. You still get stamina and stamina regen without rest bonus; even if you haven't eaten anything at all.
All rest bonus does, is boosting the stamina regen.

I have before, but in this instance I was cleaning an area for a castle so didn’t go get the power because it should have took a minute or two. On a whim.
It just highlighted for me how bad stamina feels in it’s current state. While management is part of the game but the mechanics as they are now could use work gameplay wise.

That's because your max stamina has very little effect on your regen rate, so high stamina is only good for sprinting, or doing relatively short tasks that require stamina. When it gets low, it's almost the same as if you have eaten all health foods.
A discussion of the stamina regen rate really needs to be added to the FAQ. This issue comes up constantly, and most players don't seem to understand it. It doesn't make much sense either, which I think is most of the source of the confusion.
Most players seem to think that eating high-stamina food will give you more stamina, which, in many cases it just doesn't.

Eating stamina foods isn't going to improve your long-term work rate, since you'll be spending and regaining at the same rate either way. Chopping wood, mining ore, or working farms will take the same amount of time, you'll just be able to do larger bits of your work between quick rests.
What it's for is improving your burst performance - being able to do more immediately before getting tired out. This makes it useful for fishing, combat, or reactions during exploration - each areas where you're dealing more with individual actions and the success of each is highly dependent on how much stamina you can put into it.
The most important thing is making sure you maintain your Rested buff, which doubles your stamina regen rate while active (and having both Resting and Rested going at the same time makes it 3.5x as fast as without), as well as doing your best to avoid debuffs that slow your stamina regen (Cold and/or Wet, for example).

Food gives you a bigger bar to store stamina in. Food does not fill the bar. Only rest and mead does that. A rested player is getting double the stamina income of an unrested one. When cold and wet, they get more than three times as much.
In any fight that lasts longer than a few strikes, stamina regeneration is far more important than the size of the initial pool.
