Does water damage structures?
Small issue I've been dealing with after every in game day, I need to walk out to my dock and repair it. Sometimes just the posts will have 40% damage done to them and other times the whole dock is damaged. Not really sure what else it could be if it isn't the water itself but if so, is there a better way to make a dock?

Water will damage wood, but it won't drop below 50% damage.
The only alternative is stone, if you've reached that tier yet. I typically use stone for docks, with core wood for things like posts & guides.

you can use raised terrain for a dock, if you just want a walkway out to jump in your boat or fish from. If you want to pretty it up beyond that, stone or a roof.
The roof will protect wood from those waves. The damage state assumes its from rain and checks that way.
