Well to me here the problem is not that they removed the use of harpoon on bosses. The problem is that bosses can get stuck. The harpoon boss fix i would guess were mainly because you could abuse it to drag the boss super far.

Exactly its bad to take away player abilities :/

Then cut down the huge trees in the swamp pls make a video about that ( because you cant not even with cheats )

Also there are Terrain bugs where you cant remove ground further even with cheats/mods you cant flat it remove it or dig it.


also the shooting doesnt work either ( because guess what stuck means ... STUCK he literarily stands up there and throws his minion spawn blobs thats it )

So yeah dont try to play smart if it simply doesnt work that way.

they literarily took the only tool away that fixes bosses on bugged / not removeable terrain /things.

Fish are spawned by mob spawners...
But Fish are actually "Destructible", aka the same thing as trees/stones/veins/buildings

Because of that bow fishing wasn't easy thing to do

with mods you can flat the mountain if you wanted, or build a wall to sky

If they were really stuck then harpoon wouldn't move them either
If harpoon moved them... it means that they had a way to exit, without harpoon it will take longer to find a way to take them down tho

The harpoon thing is almost certainly because you can do things like dig a pit, harpoon the boss, drag them into the pit, and then stand on a pillar and shoot down into the pit while the boss stands there helplessly.

Haven't had the issue so speaking in theory, have you tried building up to a 'stuck' boss? Drop a bench and throw down some ladders and a quick platform?

I have plenty of these areas on 3 different servers all behave the same and get stuck at certain different environment heights on 1 server i literarily digged area of 150 around (with mods )one of these bugs with no chance to fix it.
So no it can be digged , flattened , Resettet or in anyway get fixed by mods or other means.

So again dont try to play smart if you dont know ♥♥♥♥ or didnt encounter something your very welcome to try to fix it and fail at it too.

what does the log say when you hit it? Maybe it says something NULL minerock or null/empty/missing something else
what's the seed and position :V? I wonder If I can reproduce it :D (server has mods enabled and running too? does it happen on single too?)
Currently it looks like this ground isn't considered "ground"

Maybe it's the same thing as indestructible trees?
*if it really is the same then the more reason to try modding it*

so it gets stuck a second time on the same tree ? what a great solution...

Why didnt i think about that.

perhaps they are going to fix the boss AI. always a possibility.
