I was trying to find one, I know its a very small dev team (or was?) of like 5 people and with covid working separately didn't make things easy but that was like a year ago? hoping things changed

Yagluth is still the end. They're working on Mistlands but it isn't out yet.

What is out (since Hearth and Home)
New food system and new foods
Changes to armor and block system, yes you can still parry
Swamp: new large mob and light armor set
Mountains: New caves, new mobs in caves, new light armor set, new build pieces
Plains: new mob, new build pieces

2024-25 me thinks. Just speculation but with the pace they set (one small real update in a year) i think i might be somewhat right.

By the way I see things, if the Mistlands really come this year, i guess about the end of the year, nov/dez. I expected to see the mountains update on the 1 year anniversary, a bit desapointed there was not even a date for the mountains update. By the way they said lest year I was betting it would come in jan/feb

Go look at the fireside chat thread. Mountain caves are soonish. Mistlands are in active development. I doubt they will give you more precise dates than that considering how everyone takes those dates far more seriously than they should.

I think we are generally fine if the goals keep moving back... as long as we know the game is still actively being worked on, which can only be learned if the Devs start communicating the progress more often.

I doubt we will get another roadmap, I guess there are rules for early access on Steam and I believe the original was removed to better conform to the rules...something something promising and not delivering something something.

Well for now it is the closest thing I could find from "official" sources atm.

Hopefully they will update it at some point.

And no, there is no release date for the update(s) and there probably will never be. This is in-line with Steam's Early Access Rules.

The development team will release this information when they are ready. You will learn when everyone else does.

I've heard it's something to do with steam, not Valheim. Shader updates or something.

How many hours did you put into Valheim? For 20 bucks, did you get your money's worth for amount of play time and such? If so, why would you discourage others from having the same experience now? They can enjoy the game and when the updates arrive, they can enjoy those too. The game gives a lot of play for twenty bucks, it's a lot of fun if you like the genre. Sure, lots of anticipation for a content update, leading to frustration in many cases. But going from your own frustration to actively discouraging others from participating--doesn't seem right, to me anyway. Weird.
