580 is low end gpu, and also this game in not optimised yet too.

rx 580 8g edition, Ryzen 5 2600 build, same. Both building and land editing smash the FPS.

It might look like Minecraft but the lightning/post-processing effects that take place is what's making the game laggy.
Don't put the render distance on very high tho, it will bring down your fps severely. Also it is early access but hopefully they can do some future optimizations.

vram is not perfomance. gpu itself is not strong.

Switching to windowed mode instead of fullscreen greatly improved performance on my computer, which is quite similar to yours : i7-4790k and GTX1060.
I get between 60 and 100 fps.

8GB of VRAM doesnt matter here and let's be honnest : that setup does NOT run well very recent AAA games on high / ultra. The comparison with Valheim is irrelevant anyway.

well its good for 1080p 60hz

i personally seen a performance increase by making steam force true full screen mode.
right click valheim and go to properties and add this to addition command line arguments.
-window-mode exclusive -screen-fullscreen
additionally i would make sure to go into your gpu software and optimize your gpu specifically for valheim. I personally play i two different pcs one of which requires additional optimization for games where as my main pc doesnt.
Make sure your gpu software profile for valheim has everything to highest possible performance.
Hope this helps anyone see better performance and higher fps

I play medium settings with gtx1650 i3 10100 16gb ram and i have no issues, I get around 90fps on average and 60 in very intense areas and fights but never dropped to a visually noticable rate. update your drivers use medium settings, you should be fine :)
