Wards get attacked by draugr ...

I placed some guardian figures around my swamp base to suppress spawn around my base. But it just shifts the problem as the guardians seem to attract the enemies. All I won is i get warned of enemies and not ambushed by them personally.
Will it become better if put a caseing of walls around them or will it just make the enemy attacking the case?
Somebody tried to create a secure zone?

Hmm , wards gives some defense/resistance for buildings inside the area , and some alert when an enemy is attacking you , but yeah must be buried or in a high place

Ah, ok. Thanks didn't know that. I thought all they do is preventing other players to build next to you.

Tried something similar - burying workbenches ...they break now when buried completely

yeah i know, i tried that a long time ago and it didn't work. But wards are something else. If you make it on a wooden pole and then destroy a wooden pole, the ward will stay floating in the air. They are not like all other structures. They don't collapse. I don't know if this is a bug, but it work underground too. I saw that tip somewhere a long time ago and i just tested it and confirmed that it wont break if buried.
Here, look at this cool structure with wards made by my friend on MP server. No mods or cheats used.

i don't know what do you mean by guardians... wards? If so, you can bury them underground to prevent mobs from destroying them.
As for safe zone, spam the area around the base with workbenches or campfires to prevent enemy spawning. This will also prevent raids if you cover a big enough area around your base.

It will have about the same effect as a workbench, prevent nearby spawning, but also attract creatures that wander through who want to smash it. Try putting them on platforms up trees, maybe behind walls to protect from archers.

Then dig a hole, put a ward in and then raise the ground to cover it. It should remain under the ground. It is an old trick so i'm not sure if it still works.

Will they find it if something blocks the view?

oh, yeah. didn't think about that :)
I think mobs wont be able to see it if you simply encase it with wooden walls. They usually ignore the walls so try that and let us know if it works :)
