Does the in game resolution match the native resolution on your monitor/os?

nm , sounds like maybe you can't even get to settings?

Probably tried vulcan vs dx?

Did you try playing with your config file or launch arguments?

Drivers?

Test memory modules?

was going to buy this game now im not so sure : /

for me have made no changes to my system since i got the game n had no issues playing b4 til a few months ago

thats all well and good but if u cant launch the game and play i dont really want to buy it download it then not even be able to play it

i only got so much cash i can spend atm. i was looking at this and the forest. trying to decide.

Same issue. Still can't get it to work. All the online solutions I tried did nothing to help either.

When you reinstalled, did you uninstall AND delete the install folder? Steam uninstalls do not remove mod files.

What does "definitely" mean to you? In my experience, people that know they have sufficient hardware usually list that hardware.

Have you tried being of anti-virus or other security dictates software is interfering?

I see this same issue all the time in Kerbal Space Program. Another Unity engine game.

People say they removed mods but game won't start.

Uninstall will not remove files it did not put in. You must uninstall game, manually go to file location and delete the entire folder <back up saves if you want first> .. then reinstall.

To all those that stumble upon this

I had launched Valheim with Geforce now (back when it was on there) and could never relaunch it locally even after reinstalling and all the other tricks.

What I had to do, like other users have posted, open local files directory, uninstall the game via steam, then delete all the remaining filed in that directory. Then reinstall and it launches fine.
