I was not specifically talking about your current issues.

Insider Preview builds are inherently unstable and a lot of people do not even bother understanding this. And then you have folks complaining about game crashing on a dev channel of Windows Insider :3

The real PSA would be: Do not bother with Insider unless you actually want to test and report issues to Microsoft, it is never worth it for anything else.

Great to hear this game supports Vulkan. I wish you good luck with windows 11 guys.

Good question since Win10 was supposed to be "the last "windows" we would need" and was going to be replaced by Windows Blue.

I guess they didn't want to walk away from the name recognition ha ha.

And now with the QA being outsourced they can just blame someone else.

Why would you even bother? The current build of Windows 11 is fake, and no part of it will be reflected in the final version.

Because Windows is like Star Trek movies and we needed a new odd numbered release.

Because curious. Maybe the post will encourage, or discourage, other people to try gaming/valheim on the windows 11 preview. Personally, I expected at least a little fps gain from the new system. And, it may come, as MS preps it for the final release later this year. But so far, it's not there.

it is sorta going to be a thing, because of the android apps store primarily. It runs nice so far, as good as Windows 10 did. No crashes. I am not a fan of MS Office, Windows, MS in general, but kudos to them for trying new things/trying make things better.

Make things better huh ? I'm not sure making the TPM a mandatory component for being able to run Windows 11, for our own good of couuuuurse, is what I would call making things better. I can't say right now it's clearly 100% bad, but it looks very much like the scenarios that were voiced as concerns when those kind of devices were being developed 20 years ago or so.

Edit: bottom line, not worth it at the moment for those who use/get a decent fps bump from vulkan.

Thanks for sharing! I am glad to hear that vulkan works for someone. I wonder why it stopped working on mine. What are your specs, if you don't mind sharing?

To note, i downloaded the iso as my processor is too old for it's requirements from Windows Update. After the beta 10.0.21390.2025 was installed (upgraded from win10 not full install) all of my stuff was how i left it and did not need to install any drivers or reinstall programs. The next day, went to windows update and it upgraded to 10.0.22000.51. I was surprised that it went so smoothly to be honest.
