Nope. Even Grounded got this feature. Heck, even Smalland, new game, got kinda this option.

There's a mod for that called Quick Deposit. If an item is in the chest you just opened, you click the Deposit button and it moves that item from your inventory to the chest. Easy as that. I'm using it all the time. Works with Mistlands.
I'm still waiting for the feature from Factorio where you set up your storage and inventory amounts. When you walk into an area, little robots store your swag into the correct containers and top off your inventory items to your required amount. Hard to build that into the backstory, tho a steampunk viking world would be nice.

Maybe not robots that store your stuff, seems a tad unrealistic. Tiny elves on the other hand are totally lore friendly.
