Launch? You mean letting people buy into an early access game with all its inherent fuzziness. Nobody here signed a contract obligating anything to anybody - like every single EA ever.

I'm not even subscribing to this completely unoriginal post revealing the hurt feelings of the OP for all to see. Seen too many already.

I dont know what surprises me more - the devs that dont release content because they are "understaffed" or some random guy alone making lots of mods for valheim.

They got the money - you who got the game are not their target demographic. 5years later they will hunt down younger game generation.

Why do they need to "keep players"? Forgive my ignorance. "Contra" was an awesome game when I was 12, played it a lot, played multiplayer with my cousin. up up down down left right left right B A B select start. Don't play it anymore, doesn't take anything away from the experience though.

For those who bought No Mans Sky this all looks so familiar. 5 years and 12 updates later, the trolls are silent.

I pre-ordered no mans sky for the ps4. Got it on release. I knew nothing of the story at the time. But I didn't get angry. I paid my money , I took my chances. Haven't been back to no man's sky since zero day, but I hear it's doing better now.

Exactly what I was thinking.
Also, Valheim didn't overpromise and underdeliver like NMS did.
They were very clear that this is EA, had a roadmap all ready, are following it, hiring more staff (and that is in part due to the success of the game), and are delivering their first roadmap update ON TIME.
The whiner and trolls are just here to whine and troll. Let them.
I enjoyed TF out of Valheim a few months ago, hung it up and have been enjoying some other games since then while I wait for the roadmap updates.
You know, being patient and understanding like a normal person.

You're assuming that they can read. I find that most whiners and trolls lack the ability.

Still a community that is invested in giving feedback and opinions is better than everyone just arguing "its EA don't come here to complain or say anything about a WIP game"

So instead of just telling someone it's EA. Actually come up with a valid counter argument or provide opinions about the development process yourself or ideas for the game instead of being toxic.

To the topic at hand. Yes I am worried they just are pulling the slow route like 7 Days To Die is doing with content or they are actually overwhelmed as they say in the Q&A's, who really knows.

But at the same time you can still have doubt but also have hope. My hope is yes we get those new housing items and new food mechanic that was originally a mod(that everyone hated me for using btw) and maybe we get some performance tweaks.

Even to the smallest indie devs, comments like his still are valid to them as feedback. He's a consumer who bought the game and gave his feedback. Is it a well thought out response? No. But it's feedback.

Only counter argument I thought of was in my second comment. Where he can just hope for more than what the devs have shown and I gave my personal fears as well.

Yes, I'm well aware there's a small update without much meaningful content coming 7 and a half months after launch. I'm also aware their own roadmap they initially provided was a complete joke even by their own conservative estimates.
