Need help please regarding dedicated server vs Steam Cloud saves
I uploaded my normal world to a dedicated server host a few weeks ago.
That world is no longer syncing up with the original world when I start it from the steam cloud.
How do I ensure the world hosted on the dedicated server syncs to the Steam Cloud so that when I stop using the dedicated server and revert solely back to the Steam Cloud version, I don't lose a month or more of work?

I don't think you can. They are two completely different worlds. You have to manually synch them if you want to keep them in synch.
I just run on a server that I backup regularly, partially to avoid the issues with cloud save.

When you want to switch from the server to the local machine, you have to download the world files from the server and copy them to your local world folder (AppData/LocalLow/Valheim/worlds). To switch back to the server, you have to re-upload them.
I assume you can do that with the server that you're running on, but I don't know for sure.
