Stuck on the mountains... again
I don't know what to say, I put bonfires on, went on exploration to find silver and died far from the bonfire. I have nothing and I'm stranded on top of a mountain cabin, as soon as I get out, I die.
Every single time I get to this point the game just becomes a trial of patience of respawning and getting back to my loot...
I'm stuck in a loop, the first time I tried this, near release, I got stuck at the same point.
So basically I lost all my progress AGAIN.
What am I supposed to do?

Create new world, go there with your character, get some wood to make a hammer. Go to the world you are stuck and destroy the bed so you will spawn in the center of the map.
Eat some good food and frost poison and go there to get your stuff

Can you successfully leave the mountains without dying? Like picking a direction and running as far as you can?Nope, with a whole 25hp I litterally can move a few meters in a direction and die...
when you pick up your corpse you get the running corpse buff, it heals you faster than the cold kills. this is one of the speed run ways to explore the mountains and find out where the boss is

Always have a base of operations, whether it be a small cabin or huge castle, you need a central home for spawning. It sounds like you shot yourself in the foot by setting up a camp and resetting your spawnpoint.
In my opinion, you almost never reset your spawnpoint for exploring. But enough with the pointlessness.
Specifically, what is your main problem? Let's all troubleshoot this, it's what the boards are for.

There's also nothing stopping you from just turning on god mode temporarily to get your stuff back, I guess

Never go to the mountains without potions. In addition make sure you have some back at your base in case of a death. Why did you set your spawn point up there? It makes no sense. Sounds like you like to go in unprepared. Sorry for your situation but you really have to take the time to think of an escape strategy before rushing into things.

Every time you respawn, kick your bed. You are thoroughly screwed but i don't really think beyond recognition. Try to aggro something and put the bed between you.
Since you have established that you cannot leave, your bed is the problem. Target your bed and everything you can to damage it.

get help from someone. start your world as a server and have someone join and bring you some potions or just have them grab your stuff and bring it to you.
