Iron mining seems far easier

Has anybody noticed how much faster the pick tears through muddy scrap piles? I thought the drop rate was raised at first, but then I noticed that the pick seems to damage everything it passes through now, damagiing up to 5 or 6 spots with a single swing.

Seems Troll leather has become viable to upgrade as well!

Blows my mind I didn't even accidentally find that out lmao.

Loading stuff like the kiln and fires also goes full speed just holding the button now. No more button mashing needed. They made a ton of small QoL improvements like that people apparently haven't noticed.

No, those collapsed tunnel blocks still stop damage.

Yea, I noticed this too just now. Grinding iron seems easier than before. I like it so far.

As expected, it will take some time before all changes become noticeable. No reason to overreact about things not being changed, things being changed too much before giving it enough time....

Pickaxes now hit everything within striking range, much like the axe does for trees.
This however also splits damage a bit. But overall yes, you will will mine a lot faster.

Thanks for the explanation, I knew something was different, but not quite what.

It certainly works well with muddy scrap since it doesn't take much damage to break in the first place, just all the tiny little bits you had to individually hit before.

i thought this was new, couldn't recall if it used to hit everything on a swing or not. definitely an improvement.
