Fleshrippers worth it?
Basically title. Their stats seems to suggest a 'parry and punish' play style which is fine, but their overall low guard defense means a lot of damage still gets through with a good parry - even fully upgraded and fighting Mountain enemies where the weapon is obtained. It's only going to get worse with harder biomes. Their moveset also leaves a bit to be desired with no alternate attacks save for the kick which is slow and doesn't really add much besides a bit of damage and knock back.
Always been a fan of claw and fist weapons, but am I better off sticking with daggers and buckler?

flesrippers are, in my opinion, one of the best weapons in the game.
-They are "low" to craft, comparing the other weapons that require a ton of metal.
-They attack very fast and the second attack does more damage, soo is more easy to spam a complete moveset to do the more damage.
-Have huge parry bonus and kick have a ton of stagger.
-For being a fast weapon, is more easy to dodge and attack in the middle of combat, in addition, while attacking you can move a little soo it gives you better positioning.

The short answer to the question is...Not Really.
You're better off using almost any other weapon in just about every situation. If you want the rip and tear feel they inspire your much better off with the Skoll and Hati.

First time equipping the Fenris set after using 'heavy' armors - I am speed
Oh it's amazing. It's how I scout the mistlands. Double stamina food and a health and just yeet off into the mists.
Couple that with skol and hati for quick dispatch or mistwalker/shield if I get stuck.
Gotta go fast...
Isn't the wisp useless if you go too fast?

My biggest issue with claws is first strike animation: the swing is just too long. Compared to effectively instant first strike animation on a dagger, this immediately downgrades claws to roleplay & cool looks league.
Being able to hit any enemy first is just too important if efficiency is your primary concern.

I just kind of stopped thinking about it after I first acquired them and put on the fenris set to boost them further. Going to fight the Mistlands boss soon and still punching things down.

They are decent, the kick is massive stagger often allowing a whole combo at double damage. It's sketchy trying to parry stone golems and anything after the mountains with them, though. Evade with positioning (jumping/running/rolling) and use kicks to set up combos. Sounds like a lot of work, right? It is.

Hm, didn't know the kick helped to stagger. Might try adjusting play style a bit and see how it feels

They're very underwhelming IMHO.
