If its a simple case of not seeing it, ive had it fall through the world and had to noclip through it (may have to look up exact commands for that).

As a server save error, I recommend disconnecting from Steam Cloud if you are. Causing a lot of save issues, and its better to be able to back up on your harddrive.

got my first crash just a few minutes ago, too. luckily just loose the progress of that session. curios for what world saves are good, cause they saved nothing.

unfortunately i too have had this happen and as of right now there is no means of recovery that i am aware of. i recommend posting this in the Bug forum.
