Do plants heal?
For example while fighting you strike a berry bush(my main concern), but do not destroy it. Has lost those 20HP points forever, or will it heal?

Animals and at least necks heal, so I agree it would be logical if plants did too. They're living things, after all.

I had a blueberry bush taken out by a rolling log today. I also swung my polearm at a greydrwarve and killed a raspberry bush near my base. It was a great loss. Good thing nothing seems to take out carrots.

I always thought that just poisoned me. My last carrot crop did seem low but I forget just how many I planted. I finally fenced off my garden, hopefully there poison doesn't go over the fence. If it does, then I will double fence the garden. I'm through messing with greydrwaves.

i was gonna say it will go thru fencing, but I don't think solid wall. If you just have the simple stick fences, then no it doesn't block it. Much, maybe from certain angles it would block more.
And losing a blueberry bush that is in close proximity is a loss. True.

As far as I can tell they do, but I'm sure to be proven wrong eventually. I had a couple of raspberry bushes I'd gather from every few days and I made the mistake of hitting one. Didn't destroy, so I left it alone and came back a few days later - it was still there and still growing berries. Walls will keep stuff out, but fences won't do much for you other than restrict foot traffic. The spike log wall looking thing is the way you want to go if you want to build fences. They function as good as house walls for keeping rocks, poison clouds, and so forth out.

it would be super awesome if Irongate did not simply let it go unanswered. It seems like a small question. Not to demanding of an answer probably. It sure would be good to know, definitively.

Just test it yourself. Go hit a bush, look at its health bar. Go back a couple days later and hit it again. Not rocket science. it would be super awesome if Irongate did not simply let it go unanswered. It seems like a small question. Not to demanding of an answer probably. It's possible that they don't heal over time, but also don't record their health when moving in and out of the simulation. Results may vary depending on how far from home the test plant is.

Why would distance matter? It's possible that they don't heal over time, but also don't record their health when moving in and out of the simulation. Results may vary depending on how far from home the test plant is.

I'm not sure of the precise distance, but staying too close to an entity means it stays loaded in the active simulation, which has affected plants in the past. A few patches back they would only regrow fruit if you went far enough away and returned later, bushes in constantly populated areas stayed harvested no matter how much time passed.

time and distance can be a factor with berry. It seems a simple enough answer, a yes or no is all it takes. And if it needed to be qualified in any manner. I think they could stoop down long enough to type 2 or 3 letters depending. Doesn't seem like to much to ask for.
